New Original Series USS Enterprise

Do you make full sets of drawings? Do you have a thread for them? I'd love to see more of your work!

And don't worry about the grid lines. We all put something in our work that we WANT to see. I like it, by the way.
I have some issues with the TOS plans I need to work out so I don't have a thread about them. I've been working on the refit which you can see some of my progress in https://www.trekbbs.com/threads/enterprise-evolution-from-tos-to-tmp.300617/. I haven't posted in a while because I'm finishing up the Phase II refit before moving to the Richard Taylor refit before the final TMP refit (they all share the same lines).

And the horizontal grid lines I used are actually some of the joint seams in the wood of the model. I used every other one on the starboard side and duplicated it on the port side. The lines on the neck are copied from the FJ plans. I made up the vertical lines based on the Phase II drawings. I also have a layer with the 1991 restoration lines and I can turn them off. The beauty of layers.

I was feeling kind of down today. Slept a large part of the day away. I am still recovering from a cold, so that's probably the reason. That, and I've been thinking about my departed pets. So, I did something that always brings me some happiness. This shot from near the end of the original Star Trek series episode "Metamorphosis" is one of my favorites. I keep trying to make my Blender 3D model look more like the original.

I found that my animation for my warp lights is gone in this scene, so they are all lit.

I've got to finish my latest project. I want to get my model looking more like the original.

Thanks for looking in.

Sorry about the pets. Will Yesteryear help or hurt?

But your Metamorphosis shot looks nearly perfect. I'm always amazed and astonished that that shot was only used once.
God love you, Bill. Yesteryear would make me cry today.

And thank you for the compliment! That means a lot to me. Yeah, you're right! With all the reused shots during the series, it is surprising that this was only used once. It is a GREAT shot.

That shot probably wasn't used more because it doesn't maintain the illusion of a finished ship. You can see too much of the unfinished port side. Still, the angle is awesome. Makes me wish the port side was more finished. But that is what our recreations are for.

And the good pets stay with you. They are living beings who touch our lives, sometimes more than the people we know do.

I agree with you all the way.

There are still times when I think I can see our cat Sam curled up on the bed, but only out of the corner of my eye, when I turn to look, he turns into my wife’s sweater.

Will always miss him.

I'm terribly sorry to read that, but is it possible your post was intended for a different thread? I'm trying to determine a connection.
