No one said it was. I corrected a misapprehension, that's all. No need to leap to the defence of streaming TV!
"What do you mean you've seen this? It's brand-new." "Yeah, well, I saw it on a rerun." "What's a rerun?"
It's new on TV. When TOS and TNG were shown years later in other countries for the first time, were they reruns?
I was expecting this to be a one-off limited series and while I love the idea of more Picard on TV I do hope Season 1 is a complete story and we aren't left with a huge cliffhanger.
Those are not incompatible. DCverse tends to have a serialised story over a season, then introduce the next seasons storyline in the last few minutes. Discovery did that too - at the end of season 1 (Enterprise arrives)
Yeah, it's very common for shows these days to wrap up their season's storylines in the finale while leaving behind a cliffhanger for the next season to pick up on.
IIRC they said it’s a self contained story. So the main story of this season will probably be done by final episode, it might have a hook into season 2. Patrick said they have 4 years of story outlined earlier this year.
The most anticipated show of 2020. https://www.thewrap.com/star-trek-p...4H6Zi6xNJ37DhNRRzp7B71OzhFvEanYOuJAc8d9i2Tkw4
