Does anyone know if there's a specific time on the 24th that season 2 drops because it's the 24th here in Australia and I'm itching to watch.
Don't know if Australia is the same, but over here new releases typically drop around 9 am on the scheduled day.
NVM I went to heavy.com and they said 530pm my time
Just checked and season 2 is available on Netflix in the UK.

I'm keeping it in my back pocket as it seems family friction is unavoidable at Christmas this year unfortunately so I need something to slip away into.
I just watched the first five episodes and so far I enjoyed it for the most part. I just wish they could tone down Dr Smith and make her use her proper name June Harris instead.
Parker Posey did a bang up job of her part in the show. Just I want her to change her behaviour just a little. Either that or the silly, silly writers don't want that because despite her being a fantastic actress I find myself wanting her to be spaced sometimes. There is absolutely no way in hell she would have been able to delete and change all those records as quickly and as easily as she was able to do so on the show. Any decent system would have had firewalls and security protocols in place to prevent such things from happening, and backup copies of stuff. That was just a little bit too dumb for my liking.
Other than that this is a fun show and Don and Penny are still my 2 favourite characters and June Harris, I refuse to call her Dr Smith and the writers suck for letting that still go on.

I haven't seen the second season yet, but I argued at the end of the first season that "redemption" of her character would be a dumb idea, because she's pretty clearly a psychopath. Not a sadistic psychopath - she doesn't enjoy seeing others suffer. But she has no problem with making them do so to get what she wants. People don't "redeem" themselves from psychopathy, because it's fundamental to their neurochemistry.
Still, people can learn to modify their behavior, whatever their innate tendencies. There's some evidence that a program of positive reinforcement, rewarding psychopaths for positive behaviors, can make them less likely to commit future crimes, at least with juvenile subjects: https://modlab.yale.edu/news/can-psychopaths-be-cured
So it might be possible for "Smith" to learn that it benefits her more to cooperate with the Robinsons than to screw them over for selfish gain. It wouldn't be easy, but it has a better chance of success than just punishing her, since punishment does more to reinforce psychopathic behavior than to diminish it.
I wouldn't say psychopath.. More a sociopath... Which there are a ton of sociopaths... Mostly in charge of companies, or detectives..
Dr in her life never had a loving family, and was tought to trust no one. So her starting to trust people is hard for her because she thinks she's going to be screwed over eventually.
So maybe not even a sociopath.. Just an f'd up upbringing.
Finished all.. Quite good.. Set up season 3 quite well ..

I think it's because of her acting ability that you have such a strong negative reaction. If she'd toned it down or camped it up she might not have been so enjoyable to watch.
Binged the whole season today. Better than the first season definitely. Full of the over the top constant peril reminiscent of the old series. Still love Dr, Smith (she can keep the name all she wants. I don't care.) Still not feeling the robot. Guess I just miss the bubble head and Dick Teufeld.

Everyone misses the bubbleheaded booby, but Robot was a product of his time and just wouldn't fit in this show.
I would agree that she isn't a sociopath. She demonstrably experiences guilt. People like tossing psychopath and sociopath around. I recall people stating the entire crew of Discovery were psychopaths, especially Michael, even though that was demonstrably not the case as well. I would agree Smith is a narcissist, however.
