Smirko said he won't change the govt's climate policy. And he didn't really apologise just said he regretted going. I'm sure he does now.

I was screaming at the car radio at the top of my voice when I was driving home. This is why I've stepped back from politics as much as I can.

Yep. I do. He plainly isn't up to the job.

Point to ponder. If Labor had won, all this, including all the hidden economic landmines the LNP had planted, would be going off in their face, and the media would be full of "Labor is not up to the job!" Talk about chickens and roosting!

Well what do you expect? We have a murdoch run media in this country so they won't ever criticize the government on any issue unless Voldermort says to.

Here's a line change I'm thinking of presenting to our local member to see if it can be changed.

Australians all let us rejoice
For we are young and free
We've golden soil and wealth for toil,
Surrounded by bright sea...

Better than old Gertie and says the same thing..

yeah and the conservative will shit a brick at the merest thought of changing the anthem ever if it's just the one word.

They'll also forget that it only became the national anthem in 1984 and after a plebiscite chose it in 1977 (thanks wiki).

Guess we can put changing the national anthem down as something that else the libs failed to achieve in the fraser years despite promises.
