Spoilers Supergirl - Season 5

Brainiac is from the future.

When it seems like the bad guys are going to win, Brainiac's entire point of view and history changes to reflect that new future history.

Brainiac should be oscillating between being himself, a myriad drone, or nonexistent due to Crisis a thousand years ago.

This one was a bit underwhelming.
After all the build up for Levianthan and Rama Khan, the final fight with him really wasn't that impressive.
The super volcano popping up right off the coast was a bit silly, even for a comic book show.
I understand Lena was her best friend, but Kara was still way to forgiving about everything she was trying to do.
I was surprised they actually had Alex pointing out all of the questionable stuff that Lena has done over the years, and that Kara was so quick to just brush her off.
I did like Malefic being able to help stop Lena, and the last scene with him and J'Onn and then J'Onn and the Monitor.

Yeah, it is kind of amazing at times how inconsistent the same writing team can be from one season to another.

What a b1tch Lena is. Kara should just take her out.
I like the villains so far. I must admit I thought it would be something Darkseid related at the start.

I hate the new suit.

It takes me out of the moment.

Even if we are just talking above her waist, it's still horrible.

It’s the colours o don’t like. They’re too dark. I also think they should have made it look different to the King’s.

Kara is too busy trying to paint Lena as a hurt little lamb to ever see her as the threat she's always been. Alex was correct, but the ever-unrealistic "pal" angle is so important for the showrunners (and a certain part of the audience) to push, that a logical response to Lena's villainy is not likely to happen. She's committed abominable, unforgivable acts that would cause irreparable harm to the entire human population, but somehow--in showrunner world--other villains were the end-all of evil (see last season).

Well, finally I was able to watch the episode until the end (thank you, public tansport to have been on strike today, I could stay at home warm watching TV. In fact, I think that it was the first time that I was unable to go to work but anyway! :techman:)

Happy to see that
- the conflict between J'onn and his brother,
is resolved once and for all. As he left National City driving his brother's "flying car" before the crisis comes hit Kara's city, I guess that he is supposed to be safe and sound on Mars, right?
- Andrea's change of heart after her boyfriend's death. Does that mean she'll become the new recruit for Kara's band of superfriends?

Oh and i expected Rama Khan to be very dangerous but Kara managed each time to beat him, even if the last time, it was with Andrea's help.

And can I say that I enjoy the absence of Nia, Kelly and William?! Besides, I don't see what they could have done in this episode and Nia and Kelly will be back in the next episode (a question: in one of stills of Sunday's episode, we can see Kelly using the Guardian's shield.. I thought that the shield.was an integral part of Guardian's suit (does it suppose that James forgot it or that DEO made several, at least 2? Anyway, I hope that the writer in charge of the character of Kelly Olsen, does not intend to make her a female Guardian. Indeed, it worked moderately though James athleticism but with the frail silhouette of Kelly, it would be absurd!)

Nope. COIE is a misnomer. It affects the entire universe, not just Earth.

Possibly, but I'm not THAT big of a fan of the character. I do like the actress a lot though.

Now that would be ridiculous--and if a writer is reading this post, it's your fault. :D

Sorry, I don't know if it is the right thread but in anticipation of Crisis of Infinite Earths, I have a request to make. Indeed, not watching Arrow, Flash, Batwoman, etc..., could anyone summarize to me what Earth come Oliver, Barry, Kate and Cie. I know that like Kara Danvers (Earth 38 and according to promo we already got, it's not going to end well for her new home), each of them live on a different one and to better understand the events, I'd like to have this information Thank you in advance to those who will answer. :)

Actually, Oliver, Barry, and Kate (as well as the Legends of Tomorrow characters) are all from the same Earth, designated Earth-1. Supergirl is the only outlier among the core Arrowverse shows.

Oh THANK YOU, The Realist. But does it mean that after Crisis, interactions between DC heros will be more numerous and right one of them will have problems with mean & violent aliens/organizations, others will automatically come and help, at least, the closest one?
Plus, what about Kara (and Nia)'s job as reporter at Catco, Lena and L-Corp (though I guess that she should rebound easily though an Earth changing) and the DEO even if its role is universal and timeless?
It risks to be a little confusing at the beginning...

At this point, it's only speculation that the Earths will be merged at all. It does appear from the latest trailer that
Earth-38 is lost,
but that could be reversed by the end. We'll just have to wait and see.

(ETA a spoiler tag.)

In the comics version of the COIE, all universes were destroyed except 5, and those 5 were merged. That's why people are speculating.
