Spoilers Clues on Picard show from Picard Countdown comic (possible spoilers)

Currently they think they have a year left. Picard will command the armada, but then it will suddenly be cut to hours
Keep in mind Spock states he publicly "promised to save the Romulan homeworld" (out of character for logical exact probability counting Spock to promise anything, but that's what he said). Nero would have had to know about that.

If the Romulan government was hiding things from Nero, Spock was not. He outright spoke of the danger and promised to save it. That Spock would go through that pretense just to destroy Romulus makes no logical sense. Especially once it would be clear years long evacuation efforts etc were done by the Federation, which Spock wouldn't hide.

Even if Nero in his anger just completely became irrational, the probability of his entire crew doing the same is unlikely. They need to come up with another justification for Nero's grievances against Spock because Picard is throwing it all out the window.

"Mars, 1 year before"

1 Mars year is 1.88 years before.

Sadly it's 1 year before 2386. There's no guarantee that the supernova has happened by 2386 in the comic though, just that 2 Romulans are now on Earth. We've still got the attack on Utopia Planitia to occur too

CBS owns the licencing, they can do what they want.

Of course, but why would anyone want to step on the -F if -G sounds better anyway, and they can still use a background model of the former as a nod to licensing. Just imagine it as a producer would.

What attack?

He’s hypothesizing that there is an attack on Utopia Planitia based on the split second scene in the second trailer where mysterious black fighter-like ships are shooting at some red buildings. I’m sure he’s unwittingly taking the scene out of context.

Nah, I think by 2400 it would've been decommissioned or destroyed and be replaced by an Odyseey or Prometheus-class Enterprise-F.
You are aware that the F has been designed and even marketed for a few years now right....right? Definitely an Odyssey Class.

9/11 was a Human-made act of terror, whereas the supernova is natural phenomenon*. Can’t really compare.

Is there any natural catastrophe where victims blamed an unrelated third party trying to help them?

Not canon, so they don't need to follow it.

I'm not against them using it, I think it would be neat if they did. I'm just saying it's not set in stone that they will.

One of the STO devs confirmed that the use of the Odyssey class was a collaboration with CBS and IDW.

No but seeing the comic it seems they have brought the Odyssey into canon early. I am hoping the E-E is still in service.

The comic isn't canon either, so it hasn't.

But yeah based on the dialogue in the comic, the -E is still around as of this comic.
Jesus---I KNOW STO online isn't canon. I thought you would infer the meaning they brought it in earlier than they did in STO (2409)........Yes the producers can do WHATEVER THEY WANT. But it seems they are mining designs from STO.

Well they don't seem to be ignoring past designs like DSC did, I.E. the Galaxy Class in SFC.
But the situation is different, Picard is a direct sequel to TNG bringing back several old characters played by the same actors. There's way more incentive to acknowledge designs from the older productions than there would be if every returning character was recast.

Handwavium? The Romulans think different.

Some Romulans.

Maybe one.
