Late to the chat but so excited!
Those nacelle struts are *awful*! What was even the point of paring down the nacelle struts on the original Kelvinverse 1701 for Beyond...then the add ones to the next iteration of the ship that are even larger and wider than the ones on the original!?
Lorca (up until the reveal) reminded me a lot of Calhoun.I do love Calhoun. Though I would love to see a 24th century show/movie tackle him.
Same thing with Solo.In defence of Justice League, it appears that movie was pretty much made twice explaining the insane budget.
Hashtag-release-the-Snyder-cut.
Fuckin' idiots. After reunification of Viacom and Paramount who needs this antiTrek junk like Kelvinerse? They shoud make movie about regular universe Pike and Enterprise in that period or movie about DS9 crew. No one normal doesn't want this shit known as Kelvinverse.
Star Trek Beyond was probably my third favourite Trek movie, behind Khan and FC.
I dunno how you could ever think it was "anti-Trek".
I think you're the first person I've come across who hated the Kelvin movies but liked Discovery, which is essentially a series in the JJ Abrams Trek movie style and run by one of the ST'09/Into Darkness writers/producers. Weird.Fuckin' idiots. After reunification of Viacom and Paramount who needs this antiTrek junk like Kelvinerse? They shoud make movie about regular universe Pike and Enterprise in that period or movie about DS9 crew. No one normal doesn't want this shit known as Kelvinverse.
I thought Berman Trek was awful, DS9 only got good when he left it alone and Voyager is the only Trek show I have never re-watched, even Enterprise picks up in the later seasons, even if it was still pretty bad I can respect that the writers at least tried.
Its a forum of opinions though, so who cares.
Point is, I will never not watch a trek series or film. I will always watch it regardless.
While I've been mostly unimpressed by Discovery, I couldn't imagine not watching it. It is incredible that Trek is an ongoing concern forty-two years after I started watching.
Did it ever get to the script stage? With all the speculation about maybe recasting Chekov, why not recast Hemsworth since the original script seemed to involve his character to a significant degree?
I believe so. Locations were scouted, parts were cast. They were a month or two from filming when the plug was pulled.Did it ever get to the script stage?
Same here, which is why I'd be kind of relieved if there were no more Kelvinverse movies. I even own the Trek like these and Voyager that I'm less than fond of, although they're probably still in the shrink wrap.Point is, I will never not watch a trek series or film. I will always watch it regardless.
I don't know that they had a finished shooting script, but there had to be enough of one for Hemsworth to read and be unimpressed with.Did it ever get to the script stage?
Good call by Hemsworth.I don't know that they had a finished shooting script, but there had to be enough of one for Hemsworth to read and be unimpressed with.
That recycling started earlier with a script intended for DS9 being used in VOY. And, as much as I would like to believe that ENT would have been able to continue the viewership numbers were not great, and on a decline starting with DS9 and VOY.Berman Era just got lazy, and the writting suffered, hell they completly recycled scrpts for Enterprise from Voyager..
Basically, by the end, it showed that Berman didn't care.. and it showed in the product, and people left. If Voyager and Enterprise were better written, Enterprise wouldn't have ended at season 4.
Maybe he just wanted to have fun, a bit of a break from the MCU.Yet he did Men in Black: International...![]()
