News Star Trek: Discovery Season Two On Blu-Ray And DVD

Still can’t believe I can’t find a link to the Region 2 release......... I hope it will come soon..!

I am surprised that the Short Treks don't have their own release, actually. Maybe as there are more of them. but I see that as a rather easy marketing tool for volumes of Short Treks.

Surely, just a matter of time? Seems like an easy £9.99 release per season?

As for Discovery’s second season, now that a R2 release has been revealed, I’ve got blu-ray on order. Season 1 genuinely looked incredible on blu-ray, so I’m happy to add this latest season to my collection.

Just in the slow process of updating all of my Trek’s to blu-ray, rather than DVD. Just got to get TOS, then hope VOY and DS9 somehow make their way to the format, one day.

Just got my season 2 steelbook Tuesday. It looks nice but it's brand new and factory sealed and yet two discs have fingerprints on them. Weird.

Double Post: If you want to know the amazing way this show is put together, you won't be disappointed by the extra features. If you want to know all the juicy stuff, like the craziness that went on in the writers' room midway through, then you will be disappointed. It'll be at least 10 years before they talk about any of that. At least.

Got the blu Ray steelbook today. Weird that it only has 2 of the Short Treks. I don’t really care myself since I didn’t like them anyway. I just found it odd.

Even though they're not, Anson Mount and Jonathan Frakes sound like they're just hanging out on the couch watching "New Eden".

I hope the extras are better than season 1. There was plenty of material, but over half of it is just a big circle-jerk about how amazing everything is and blah blah blah. I prefer actual making of, not featurettes where they tell me why I should be impressed.

To use a Star Wars comparison, the making of The Phantom Menace is excellent. The making of Rogue One is all surface-level guff.
