Live now. I'm in.6 hours to go............
IG-11 was pretty cool. ThoughToo bad. He dead.
And the endingA baby member of Yoda's species. Why were they after that? Hmm.
The app came alive about 10:30 PST or at least that's when I noticed it.
I'm with you in almost every point. But the music was terrible. They almost used the Rocky theme during that mount sequence.. wrong choice.Well, the first episode was....okay. Not great, not terrible.
The episode doesn't give us much reason to really like or key into the title character at all. Perhaps they should have given us real flashbacks instead of those one or two second pops. Some reason for us to know this guy at least a little and know what he's about.
As a small piece of a larger movie, Boba Fett can just look cool and say little, but as the lead of a TV show, we need more than cool armor and a taciturn demeanor. Even if this Mandalorian does manage to kick ass, it's not enough.
The interlude with Kuill is a bit of a drag.
A few of the jokes fall flat and I wasn't crazy about either the design or acting of the blue bounty in the opening.
I was intrigued by the state of the Empire (and lack of same). I did like the ending, I found it intriguing. The action was pretty good, but a little flat.
Some of the smaller in-universe details about how the bounty hunting guild works were interesting enough.
The show is leaning so hard into the OT aesthetics that this first episode has not one but two rough and tumble cantinas and the aesthetic is basically all lifted from Tatooine/ANH. More variety going forward would be nice.
I dunno, I wanted to like it more than I did. The episode is actually a bit dull in spots. It's not a home run right out of the gate, but there's certainly still plenty of potential.
Not manyI wonder how many people in the uk will actually wait until March to watch it?![]()
I am purely paying my sub for the madalorian.Though I certainly sympathize with the overseas fans too. It's not like Disney is charging a huge price for Disney+, so fans would probably be happy to pay for just The Mandalorian for the first few months. Obviously people on a board like this one are happy to sign up to a streaming service for just one show. (And besides Discovery on CBS All Access, when DCUniverse launched people were obviously signing up just for Titans.)
What nod to The Orville?I did like the little nod to the Orville
IDK I was pretty impressed, and the reveal of the bounty was NOT what I was expecting at all.........can't wait to see what comes next.Well, the first episode was....okay. Not great, not terrible.

It was pretty good. It actually looks like it belongs to the Star Wars universe unlike that other ”star” show I won’t mention.
