Nonsense.

Her most memorable episodes were "Remember Me" and "Attached", at least for me. Remember Me overall and Attached with regard to Picard.

Agree that the character was underdeveloped, but still has one of the closest relationships with Picard, along with Guinan & Data.
I mentioned Sub Rosa as her most memorable simply because over the years it's the one that seems to generate the most discussion here on Trek BBS. Though personally IMO, her best would be The High Ground.

I also find it implausible because everything Picard said in TNG indicated that he had never let himself even consider anything romantic or sexual with his best friend's wife, so where are we getting the idea that they were lovers?

In "Attached," Beverly is totally blown away to learn that Picard ever had romantic feelings for her.
It's still plausible they had a drunk one night stand, chose never to speak of it again and she'd still be amazed decades later to learn he wanted more than that drunken one-time sex with her. People are complicated.

I don't know if you've heard the news Gates McFadden posted on twitter she is recovering from surgery she recently had a week or two ago. You can post your get well wishes on her official twitter page.

Wish I could remember which early TNG episode I saw recently where the chemistry between Picard and Crusher was downright exothermic, and it was just a passing scene, not even so much as a c-story. I hope she’s still out there somewhere and maybe available for season 2. Patrick Stewart may not be too interested in revisiting that relationship, but Jean-Luc Picard would have been.

My guess would be "The Naked Now"...

I really hope she's not dead, but I could see that being one of the reasons that pushed Picard to retire.

Or they could just THINK she's dead but then have a season finale hook that indicates she's alive.

(I can dream okay)

I wouldn't be surprised if she's dead, but Crusher is probably the foremost character I'd like to see return. I was always sad that McFadden's screen time in First Contact shrunk so much from the earlier drafts to the final film, and then her scene with Picard in Nemesis got cut, too.

After all this time, I'd like the will-they-or-won't-they to end with a 'they will.'

I think one way or another she is no longer in Jean-Luc's life.

Whether that be by her death or his grief around the event that pushed him out of Starfleet pushed her to realize she couldn't help him.

Or she just found a way to bring Ronin back. :p

It would be cool if Picard got in a no win situation …. and federation starship warps in with Captain Wesley Crusher saving Picard.

I'm hoping they're divorced.

Because I'd prefer it to her being dead and/or never having a relationship with Picard.

I still prefer Picard's by-the-book professionalism and not finding romantic relationships with the crew to begin with, something we learned in a season six episode anyway, And while TNG was hinting at this shipment or whatever it's called for those two in season 1, they dropped until season 7 when they had long since ran out of ideas to preach at the audience with. When they dug up the notion back, briefly for an episode or two, they didn't spend too much time on it. It wouldn't make a great compelling arc, either. An alternate timeline (season 7) did suggest they were hitched and divorced, nor did they focus all 88 minutes on it, thankfully.

Lump me in with the "TNG reunion" crowd. I so want -- nay, NEED -- this series! There hasn't been a Trek reunion like this since TMP, where we longed to see our heroes back together. That being said, I don't want it to be TNG 2.0, with everyone reprising their roles on a ship. But I do want it to be a "Hey, I haven't seen you in decades -- we're all in a new place in life, but here we are together again!" joyride.

This is likely due to the fact that (a) I just had my 30 year high school reunion and experienced the same sentiments, and (b) I'm a couple years shy of 50 and nostalgia is a drug.

^^This.

The TNG flicks are a prime example of not letting time pass. Worse, in the latter-end of the TNG flick "reunion parties" run, Worf would come back for more contrived and/or completely unexplained reasons. Arguably including "First Contact" (and without Sisko and the crew, which is both a curse and a blessing). If I recall, though it's not a memorable movie, NEM hinted at separations, but the TNG movies were made too quickly after Kirk's were, and at least Kirk's had the benefit of 0.15 centuries 1.5 decades passing to allow for proper character development and differentiation - albeit offscreen because the time needed to set them all up in real time takes away from bigger things the movie also needs to tell. And Nicholas Meyer, not familiar with the show, took the time to watch all the episodes to get a feel for the characters and figured out how to elevate the franchise to the next level. Not an easy task...

This. Some people think there are too many TNG cast members showing up in season one as it is, so the reunion tour bus is full for now. But I wouldn't be surprised if "Admiral Crusher" is name-dropped in season one though.
;)

Along with Admiral LaForge, Captain Worf, and Commander Wesley Crusher ;).

Where is Commander Daren with her yoga mat keyboard?

Sadly Wendy Hughes, the actress who played Nella Darren, passed away about five years ago :weep:

I'd actually hate that, not everyone needs to become an officer and I liked that Wesley's story on TNG ended with him stepping away from starfleet.
If he returns I'd like to see him as a civilian scientist or an educator or heck just make him the owner of an art gallery, just because a kid has certain talents and potential in a field they don't have to make that their career.
