I just find it odd that, for a project like this, all of the characters/actors involved in it wouldn't be mentioned.
This doesn't appeal to me either....
It's effectively not a 'real' pilot - it's a backdoor pilot ( A Star trek equivalent would be the TOS second season closing episode: "Assignment Earth").This doesn't appeal to me either....
Mia Smoak is not really a likeable character....and I have never really thought Katie Cassidy did a good job connecting with people.
Dinah, I thought was a good Canary (2nd to Sara, who would've been a much better match for Stephen Amell's Oliver) , but with this team...not sure if she can carry the show.
I am guessing we will be getting a lot of flashbacks along the way.
This is just a pilot, right? Hopefully, feedback will shut this down. We really don't need more DC TV right now (certainly not at the SAME SEASON), and especially not this....a far future show (like Legion of Super Heroes era) might be cool...but 2040? It might seem dated even in 3 years.
This kinda sounds like the reverse of what's been happening between the DC Berlanti Shows and the DC Film Universe...
The movies were taking from what started on TV (such as SUicide Squad)...now TV is taking on a version of Birds of Prey
This will be the first Arrowverse production that I really have no interest in at all. The spinoff I would like to see, after Ralph locates Sue Dearbon, would be an Elongated Man and wife detective agency show.Marc Guggenheim has tweeted a "comic book cover" poster that seems to reveal the name of the Arrow spinoff:

Yeah, this thing promises to be the very soul of tedium. This will be the first Arrowverse production that I really have no interest in at all.
So are they going to drag Mia into the past some how?
I guess one of the episodes this season might serve as a lead in

I thought the characters who they announced were ones we'd already seen in 2040?Or else send the Canaries into the future, though that would diminish the crossover potential.

You really are an odd person.(I even muted them last night while watching Arrow, I refuse to watch them at all)
No..i understand... he could probably accurately recite the dialogue (or type of dialogue)You really are an odd person.
i dunno myself... having a 3-women-led show would be great... But Mia (who shares my oldest daughter's name) doesn't feel very likeable...more like a brat. DInah, i am cool with... 2nd best Canary after Sara Lance, but like her better as part of a team than a lead... and Laurel... what is up with the way they keep Katie Cassidy. I felt like she NEVER had chemistry with Stephen Amell.... her journey to Black Canary seemed forced and "unrealistic" (i know...but even for a superhero show...), and was glad when she died. But then brining her back as Black Siren.... not that much more interesting.
And if they really are NOT having an older Dinah & Laurel....ummm.. not sure...but maybe the Crisis will send Mia back in time or kinda leave her "homeless" because for some reason she wouldn't have existed, and suddenly appearing in 2020 Starling CIty...
