Ugh, after seeing pics of what the uniforms actually look like, if I ever get my perk, it's going in the same drawer in my closet that the rest of my Axanar stuff is in.

As a donor, I disagree with Lane's most recent post. Mr. Lane, if you're reading this, AP may not have done anything to you personally, but as as a donor I feel cheated by him. He took $1.5 million dollars form fans, and put it into converting a warehouse into a studio in California, that he had to abandon, and move to Georgia. That in a sense is taking the money, and running since he is no longer in the California "studio."

I know I've said this before on here, but I no longer want to see this version of Axanar. The lawsuit, and AP's behavior in the aftermath really soured me on it. If CBS/Paramount believes he has violated the settlement let the courts decide that for sure through arbitration.

Now I'll get off my soapbox, and I hope you all have a wonderful day.

@SITZKRIEG! Yes I did. I'm so disappointed, but it's not the first time I've been disappointed with Axanar, and won't be the last. I chose that so that the money I donated would go to something for the movie, not for the studio. It made sense to me at the time, but I wish I had never donated to Axanar.

many are in the same boat which makes the current plan for 5 fundraisers and over $200k look insane. I don’t think there are enough left for that kind of money.

I did the $75 donation. DIdn't want any new uniforms cluttering up my closet, but I am still waiting on the BRD of Prelude, which some people apparently received back in 2014/15 when things were a little more stable. If CBS is on the hunt again, I'll probably never see it.

In retrospect, I'm glad I made that decision not to get the uni-level perk, seeing these things now. I like the black sides (very slimming! :D) but the collar just looks stupid-wrong to me. If they'd have tightened it up by maybe an inch, it probably wouldn't look so bad but, boy howdy! :ack:

they were selling your prelude Blu-ray at the shoot.

That's awesome.
Its how they tell the difference between the women and men!!!!

I couldn't help but notice that Alec's collar looks fine.
He's the only one not wearing one of the newly-designed costumes and instead using an original TOS version.

Seems he secretly doesn't like the new design either and doesn't want to look (as much) like a dork.

Odd too that the female collars come to a point at the bottom and the male version is huge and round.........

For women who have more hip than bust, the black inset design makes you look wider (sorry, brunette actress; it also didn't help the redshirt on the right). Looks fine for women who are more busty than hippy.

The gal all the way on the left is also helped out because she knows how to pose. For women in particular, the advice is often to bend whatever bends.

Wide black collars do not look good, and the fabric is extremely unforgiving, no matter what your shape is.

Can you sue someone for the same thing more than once?
To go back to the uniforms and bridge, I have to admit, I'm pretty shocked at how crappy they look. After all of the time, money and effort I was expecting something movie or high grade TV quality, and both aren't even close to that good.

I think "double jeopardy" only applies to criminal law, and for the same crime. Meaning, if you are cleared for a murder, you cannot be indicted for the same murder later on. If you murder again, however, all bets are off.

Since all this would be at the civil level, I don't believe there is any such a limitation. If you keep ripping people off, said people can still sue you for monetary damages.

@jespah
would likely have a better idea about this, though.

He's just using word play to tap dance. No maybe he can't be sued again.........HOWEVER, if CBS is telling him he has breached the terms of the settlement agreement they CAN rip the scab off the original settlement and go into arbitration. The fact that CBS wants to see his financials before Oct 15th would have me being a little less smug. It's almost like he WANTS to get shut down.

Semantically, he's correct. Axanar has been sued, and they settled. Should it go to Arbitration however, CBS cpould definitely take Mr. Peters to the cleaners.

If it is in fact true CBS (per the settlement agreement) requested an accounting of any/all monies Axanar has taken in from donations post settlement, and Alec Peters fails to provide it; CBS then has a reason to request arbitration (again per the settlement) - and yes, they CAN prove "Damages" to the point Peters will be lucky to have a pot to piss in afterwards. I'm sure they have copies of all the Axanar video podcasts and will use Peters own words to make their case.

We've seen some of this before. When things are going well for AP, he gloats. When things go sideways, he lashes out. Not sure which one it is right now, because the two are so similar.

I have to wonder, has CBS sent 6 breach notices or 8 breach notices since the settlement? His Majesty has trouble with numbers, as we're all aware. :techman:

One thing we know for sure: last time, CBS gave him plenty of rope before they dropped the hammer.

I understand and would have donated as well to some degree had I known about it at the time. At least the uniform looks nice overall (agree that it's a tad better in the female style than male) and frankly better than I expected (just like the bridge) but admittedly after the last couple of years my expectations were very, very low.
