I knew someone would mention itAha, the classic "offset" orientation!![]()
I couldn't resist!I knew someone would mention it
Aside from the relocated "nub" at the back of the Bridge it wouldn't look all that different; Pike is already offset in relation to the outer markings at the front of the bridge module (in the original FX)I'd be very interested to see "The Cage" opening angle recreated with the offset bridge.
Thank you! That's really cool to see.Hi here are some renderings with the Pilot bridge inserted. I have used the standard mesh for the enterprise (smaller bridge dome).
I think its a shame that they didn't reconcile the interior with the exterior, if the extra piece at the top of dome is for the lift casing. My opinion is that it was done this way for easy filming. If you look at the examples in Mytran's post the Lift and the "nub" are not allied .pilot dome (5) by Ian Simpson, on Flickr

Those are really good and are fairly similar to what I was imagining in terms of viewing angles etc.Hi here are some renderings with the Pilot bridge inserted. I have been tweaking the materials for the Enterprise and at this moment trying to perfect the bussard lights, not an easy job for me as I know next to nothing about the unreal engine. I have used the standard mesh for the enterprise (smaller bridge dome).

Also, those windows on the sides of the teardrop are just HUGE!!!![]()
These bridge layouts are great. (Last picture: I don't think there are navigation lights on the side of the bridge in the Cage. Even in TOS, both lights were red.)
Only if they're wrong! Now that you mention it yes. I will adjust them later.
Only if they're wrong!
I just meant to say that I hadn't realised how large they were in comparison to known objects (such as the chairs on the Bridge). From the outside, they look fine
Fair comment but I will check the plans anyhow.Only if they're wrong!

Indeed and I am one of them!A few fans have speculated they may be sensor arrays, instead.
Worth a quick look perhaps

There's always the DS9 episode, where they recreated the model

I have checked the drawings and I have made the "Windows" the correct size. To see how big they are I have put a chair on the deck for comparison.Only if they're wrong!
