Transition and explanation of SNW into TOS technology

It's the same technology, there will be no transition. Picard showing a TOS style connie is irrelevant, that was a background ship used in a scene that showed off a bunch of old designs for nostalgia, it was not the hero ship in its own show. They are depicted differently because they exist in different contexts, they can both exist, look different and still be the same thing.

This. The tech is the same. They’re not going to revert to the TOS style by the end of the show, and if they did, it would be the dumbest thing they could possibly do at this point.

Honestly, I don't have any need to see the old sets recreated, all I want is for them to end the series with Pike still in command, or the ship going in for a refit, or something like that. If they stop before treading on TOS and leave it ambiguous about whether the ship changes, then everyone gets what they want.

Are you also waiting for white British guy transporter chief Kyle to replace his adopted Asian son transporter chief Kyle? ;)
You know there can be more than 1× Transporter Chief named "Kyle".

Kyle is a pretty common name, they just happened to have a British Transporter Chief named "Kyle" and replaced him with a Korean-American Transporter Chief named "Kyle"

I think the joke went over your head.
