That's actually exactly what I thought of when I saw it!!!

And also seeing those TNG nacelles at the wrong angle is weirdly unsettling, which adds to the effect.

I like the canted nacelles, it makes ALOT more sense when it comes to Warp Fields interacting with each other than the original Galaxy-X variant.

The inner two warp field grilles would meet with the upper central one which would help create that synchronous warp field.

The original way had the warp field grilles working around a bunch of structure which must be terribly inefficient.

I love that “mirror” design based you made based on the novel!

Do you have the GamePrint link to the model?

Just an FYI, I ordered a MixedDimensions model and it took like three months to come (wasn’t even a weird model, just a regular refit with a different name/registry).

I was curious how long it might take. That’s fine, I’m in no rush with that. I’m hoping that means business is good for them and they have a healthy backlog of orders. Thanks for the info!

I ordered the Discovery and the Equinox from the friday the 13th promotion I find them both great models. I was much more impressed by the Equinox in person than the picture reviews I looked at. Did the Discovery models always have a smaller sized magazine? I thought it was missing and was ready to contact Eaglemoss when I found it inside the model box, lol.

Does anyone have display cases they can recommend for these? I found my collection has grown over the last couple of years. I started with the warp delta, a great model too btw. What were everyone's first Eaglemoss ship and how well did you like it?

    Out there. Thatta way.
The two EM E-E's are based on a CG model that was created to *bid* on Insurection. The company that made it lost their bid. They're kinda wonky as a result of not having the original model to reference. Not sure why it's used so often in mass market products.

The nemesis CG model is far sleeker, detailed and accurate to what we saw on screen.

Just a heads up for anyone in the US. They have (at least for a few more hours a 15% off flash sale going on. If you used it to purchase any XL exclusives or specials it gave a discount of the screen, but you will be charged full price after you hit submit. Make sure to get screenshots of your purchase steps (as it does show the discount on all steps including the final one when you hit submit for payment. But your email confirmation sent after and your card or PayPal will be charged full price. I have just been talking to eagle moss (got through with literally no wait time), talked to three people, they say they ware sending to another person to submit a refund (I will believe it when I see it).

This picture from the 2017 Ships of the Line calendar looks like it uses the Nemesis CG model, so I guess it still exists after all. Now I really wonder why Eagemoss didn't use that one.

The bottom-right of the picture says it was done by someone named Alain Rivard. If so, then I suspect this person did their own model (which is really quite good). If so, then this is not the Nemesis model and Eaglemoss would have to pay extra to the builder for its use. Since they already have access to CBS/Paramount-approved assets, it wouldn't make any business sense to purchase someone else's work, even though, to us fans, it looks better than anything "official", in almost every measurable way.

Yeah, Alain makes his own models. There are orthos of the Nemesis model at MM&M, which he probably used for reference (assuming he didn’t have his own sources). I’m sure the Nemesis model has been used since the movie (aside from the cover of the EM magazine), though all the book covers and whatnot I can think to check at the moment use an FC/INS-style model.

There's my 3D Printed Verne Class from STO (Cryptic's upgraded version of Wells from Voyager)
The name is readable in person, my Phone camera just isn't great. also I accidentally dropped it at one point and chipped the right wing.

That model looked so good, it didn't even occur to me that it might not be one of the screen-used ones. Bummer.
However, Memory Alpha claims that Ben Robinson had the Nemesis model at his disposal as well for the starships collection, and that both Lombardi's model and Digital Domain's Nemesis model were featured in the Ships of the Line calendars and their book derivatives. Are there any other calendar images that might be the Nemesis model?

But is Lombardi's model any more official than Rivard's? Neither was used for the actual movies, but both have now appeared in licensed publications. Did Eaglemoss even get the Lombardi model from CBS? I thought in most cases they had to ask the individual artists for the CGI models anyway.

Well was just charged for another shipment... second one since April. (sarcasm) How do they keep up with so many shipments?! Also, it's for just one ship!! Oh joy... you just have to love Eaglemoss's subscription service! (/sarcasm)

Not the first model maker to do that gimmick.
