What looks good at a smaller scale doesn't necessarily translate well when making it bigger.Weird- you would think they could just scale up a vector file...
Smaller details like windows & gridlines, that were made a little oversized at a smaller scale to be clearly seen, get cartoonishly large and way too deeply cut into the hull when the whole thing is made bigger, making them look like cheap toys from the 1970's. The details need to be toned down and made more subtle to give the proper perception of scale to objects representing large vessels, hundreds of meters in length. All those modifications and tweaks (including more detailed paint jobs and decals) take a lot of extra work and $$$ for R&D, which hopefully won't get too onerous to the point that they may no longer be able to stay profitable and go the way of Eaglemoss.
