We got this covered is reporting Kat Dennings is returning for Thor Love and Thunder. WGTC isn't the most reliable source in the world, but given that Dennings has already been confirmed for WandaVision, this makes a certain amount of sense.

Well it certainly did seem odd to have her back but only in a show alongside two characters she had never crossed paths with before and not the line of movies where she's actually from.

One has to wonder though what Darci is up to these days. I mean how long can a person be an intern? Did she finally actually get a diploma of some description? I kind of like the idea that she's now the world's foremost authority on...err....something spacey, and has been recruited by SWORD as a consultant....though mostly because both Foster and Selvig said "no thanks!"

I'll still wait until something more credible before I get excited, but still. Fingers crossed!

Unconfirmed 'movement' on the future of the Netflix characters and relationship with Marvel TV :

"Marvel Studios and Marvel Television – who never previously worked together – have apparently finally put aside their differences, which is why the latter may be allowed to continue the Netflix series as they were on a new platform. What with this newfound partnership, Kevin Feige is said to have an overseeing role on the shows going forward."

Probably BS, but one can hope...

I know the chances aren't great due to the source, but I really want both of these to be true.

There was a tie-in novel that came out (and took place) in-between Infinity War and Endgame that indeed have her become one "the world's foremost authorities on spacey stuff" at the end (based on Selvig's recommendation).

However, the novel was contradicted with the release of Endgame that established Selvig vanished in the blip.

I didn't realize they were filming either.
That is not the look I expected for Angelina Jolie's character.

I'm betting that's just one form she takes, based on the fact that the Eternals were mistaken for the Greek Gods in the comics. I'm really hoping that we get some version of the Kirby costumes for the Eternals, probably less colorful but I definitely want to see some version of the crazy Kirby style costumes that the Eternals wore in the comics on the big screen.

They did show concept art that looked pretty close to the original Kirby costumes at D23 or Comic Con. So at least some of the characters will wear stuff close to them at some point in the movie.

Now that you mention it, I do remember that. Hopefully they'll look cool. I get that Marvel costumes usually try to balance coolness/comic book accuracy with "realism", but I'd like to see a bit more "Kirbyness" with the Eternals, especially since most of the stuff he designed gets really toned down in movies (like how Ego, as cool as he was in GotG 2, didn't have a giant face or anything, etc.).

I'm actually not a huge fan of Kirby's art (I really dislike his statue looking faces), but his designs were usually interestingly weird, and having a bit more of that, especially with a more "out there" concept like The Eternals, would be cool.

I also hope that go with a Jack Kirby aesthetic, similar to what they did with Asgard and Sakaar in the Thor movies. However, they might not want to feel like they're repeating themselves. I'm sure that I recall reading or watching a Blu-ray featurette that mentioned that one of the reasons they distanced themselves from Kirby aesthetic to a point in Black Panther was that they didn't want Wakanda to look like they were just doing Asgard all over again.

But to be fair, not all Kirby designs look the same (outside of everyone's face looking the same). The Eternals in the comics don't look anything like the comic (or movie) Asgardian styles. Really, at most I'm hoping for them just taking some inspiration from the comics when it comes to the costumes. that said, if they show a celestial (even in a flashback), I hope they go full Kirby with it, those things are too cool looking to try to make "realistic".

There was a little Kirby in the GotG movies, so I think they're OK to keep it a running thing with most of the "cosmic" properties; in part at least. Plus it's not like Kirby was the only aesthetic influence on Ragnarok. I dare say there was a little Michael Whelan mixed in there too! ;)

We already saw a very Kirbyesque, comics accurate Celestial in Guardians of the Galaxy, so if we see if we see one in Eternals, I'm pretty sure they'll keep to the same style.

You only beat me to it because I went to YouTube to find the clip. ;)

I had forgotten about that scene. I really hope we get something like that in The Eternals, and I imagine we will because of how essential the Celestial's are to the Eternals.

Wake me up when they have a "source" other than cosmicbooknews. Pretty much everything they ever say about the movie is misogynistic clickbait garbage, and I don't expect this to be any different. In their review of the movie, which they called "misandric", they claim that the fact that Nick Fury is seen doing the dishes is an affront to manly men everywhere.
