Pat Shumer simply has nothing to lose at this point. Either Jones works out or he gets fired. The way things are going with Eli Manning, he was getting fired at the end of the year anyway.

I think Shurmer is safe unless things get reeeeeeally bad and they finish with 2-3 wins. That being said, I want Shurmer out. He's shown nothing and neither has Betcher.
I feel so bad for Eli though. My hatred for Jerry Reese is through the roof right now for ruining Eli's final nine seasons.
I think they'll be lucky to get two or three wins, honestly. Unless Jones ends up being a heck of a lot better than Manning is right now.

The Patriots have released Antonio Brown.
Patriots have to know something is up. More than the general public knows at this point.
Yeah, it might have to do with stuff they found on his phone, anything from confirmation of guilt, to the knowledge that a sure suspension is coming.

It really is a shame. Antonio Brown is immensely talented, yet seemingly has little to no self-control. Ten million dollar body with a ten cent head. One nice thing, the Patriots had structured the contract so he hadn't received any guaranteed money yet. The way things sound, they inserted a clause in his contract that will allow him to collect his week two and week three paychecks, and nothing more.

So! There IS a line of extreme degenerate behavior that the Pats won’t cross.
Maybe not. They did ditch Kareem Hunt last season.
I would be highly surprised if another team will touch him. But, I've been wrong before.
