Your try at re-framing the way Al Davis ran the Raiders, using only what you know about football is not exactly convincing.I’m not the one saying that a team ran by a former football coach believed in letting the players do whatever they wanted. I’m also not the one equating trying to miss a two-a-day here and there with missing the entirety of training camp pissing around over a helmet. Even Al Davis had his limits on what he’d put up with.
Oh, I'm the one who can't let it go?You just seem to be oddly unable to let Brown go. He didn’t want you, for whatever reason, it was clear.
Definitely sounded like a man who would think training camp and practice were important...
I see you just dropped this here with no explanation. Please explain to me how this verifies anything you wrote about the Al Davis Raiders? As Davis obsessed through the years over the ther-modynamics of winning, he reached a conclusion. Part of victory entailed superior players executing superior plays; the "army of men," as Davis called his teams, had to operate with discipline and precision. But winning also came from differentiating your team. Much as Davis loved the NFL, his motivation also came from ensuring his Raiders stood apart from the rest of the league.
From what you've written here, it is obvious that your knowledge of the Raiders doesn't extend beyond the confines of Google.
So...am I going to get an explanation of how that excerpt from that article you posted supports your position, or nah?And based on what you’ve written, your knowledge of the game comes from Football for Dummies.![]()

Jets fans: welcome to the Adam Gase experience.![]()
Pittsburgh trades a 2020 first round pick to Miami for Minkah Fitzpatrick.
I’m watching this game and I’m not exactly sure Gase has much do with running out a third stringer behind an overwhelmed offensive line. The defense for New York is hanging in there but they’ve been on the field all night.
At some point they need to add another blocker to handle Myles Garrett.
Along with the pick the Texans traded them, Miami has three 1st round picks in 2020.
This. "Believe in the Process" we are told, but they TRADED AWAY two excellent players who recent first round picks in amongst this fire sale...thats like trading two dimes for three nickels.Should be fun watching them squander them.![]()

Been that way for decades...Our logic definitely escapes me. The direction the team is going in makes little sense.

Trading Leremy Tunsill was insanity squared. Young, team controlled (so to speak), vital position to protect a young QB, etc. You keep kids like that.I mostly agree. Though this years “we are tanking” group takes the fish cake. For some reason, they gave up a 2nd round pick for Josh Rosen for no particular reason.
