Browns fan acts like an idiot during the game, Browns ban wrong man who wasn't even there.
Which one of you who wasn't at the game is getting banned next?
Make them both go to a Dolphins game.

Supposed to be a text message from Brown about assaulting the woman while she slept. If true, he should be banned from the NFL.
Missing all of the preseason practices was nothing, Guys do dumb stuff to get out of it all the time. It's not what the Raiders could have done, it was what they should NOT have done, and that was sending him that notice of his owing over $200k in fines and stripping his contract of guaranteed money. What are they supposed to do? Ask pretty please if he will come to practice? It strikes me as odd practice to forgo what is a part of the CBA and his contract for behaviors.
BS. The Raiders were no more "invested" in AB than the Pats are now. It would be different if we'd given up a first or second rounder for him. He hardly practised with the Raiders, never played in a game for us. You might have a point if this had happened later in the season after we'd maybe become dependent on his production. We even were able to reacquire a receiver we liked who we may have cut for AB.This is where it's a better position the Pats are in than the Raiders were. Raiders were fully invested in him, and it's make or break with him. He's a luxury to the Pats, so while it would certainly be nice to have him, doesn't exactly tank the season to dump him, either.
You're blaming the accuser, bro, not a good look. Also, know it’s Me Too and we believe the women all the time now, but this one does sound a bit fishy. Personally, I stop working with someone, or flying down to party with them, after the second or third time they sexually assault me.

Jesus Christ...
If you're trying to say that the Raiders offered him a bigger contract with bigger guarantees, that's true. But AB was never given that guaranteed money. What he likely got was his signing bonus which is probably what he has also received from the Pats. In fact, if the NFL doesn't come down on AB before the season starts and the Pats pay him his guaranteed money, Pats will literally have a bigger financial investment in him than the Raiders did.I mean, provably false, but ok. Ignoring that you literally had a lot invested in him financially, and the multiple draft picks you paid for him,
Yes, he would have been our best player. And yes we could have used his talent, that's why we traded for him. There isn't a team in the league who couldn't have used AB's talent, including, obviously, the Pats.he was far and away your best offensive player. At least skill position wise, and pretty easy argument that he's much more talented than Carr too.
And the fact that you can find stats online proves what point? That we needed AB more than the Pats? Or do you think it proves your assertion that he was "make or break" for the Raiders? Despite your opinion only time will tell about how much losing AB will cost us if anything. He was kind enough to act like a moron and help you out with the guaranteed money part, though, so that at least keeps this from killing the Raiders. Your #2 receiver had 42 catches last year, and for another team, so not like you cut AB because he was second fiddle to OBJ or something.
What, you're now hanging your hat on Vegas odds? Not that Vegas odds mean that things will happen, either,
What you've been arguing is your belief that the Raiders needed AB more than the Pats. That is a fact that didn't require much thought. But as far as an actual investment, like I said before, it's little bit like losing a player for the season in training camp. The good thing is that you have the time to plan your season without that player. The Raiders weren't even looking to trad for a wideout, AB just fell out of the sky. But he was so detached from the team that in terms of planning the season, it's like he was never there.Pats, on the other hand, are not dependent on AB,
So yeah, I'd say that Oakland was more invested in him than the Pats are.
So, the Raiders organization should accept immature and childish behavior from a professional football player instead of applying rules that the CBA, his contract and the organization allow?Missing all of the preseason practices was nothing, Guys do dumb stuff to get out of it all the time. It's not what the Raiders could have done, it was what they should NOT have done, and that was sending him that notice of his owing over $200k in fines and stripping his contract of guaranteed money.
He was all set to practise and play until the Raiders made that boneheaded more.
AB conducted himself in a very unprofessional manner and it cost him money.
...why is the team the arbitrator of justice?
Well, yes. More my point was that his behaviors caused the consequences of fines. That’s the pisser. It actually ends up costing him very little money.
No due process? No presumption of innocence? At the end of the day? They are his employer and writing the checks. This reflects badly on them from my POV.
No due process? No presumption of innocence?
Fair point. I'm just a little more cautious because in this day and age accusations of sexual assault are enough to tank someone's career. My mom almost lost her medical license over a false accusation that would have put her on the sex offender's list. They aren’t a legal body. They are a corporation who has an employee making them look bad. Get a very public DUI or domestic violence or sexual assault, see if your employer waits for due process or drops you like a hot potato.
If the text didn’t exist, I would probably be more amenable for the process to run its course.
