The Discovery line has small binders but they still might be a little too big for the shuttle magazines.
It was only the Insurrection models that were believed lost.By the way, if all the CGI models from Insurrection and Nemesis were lost, how were they able to produce the Valdore model so early?

Pretty much every single version of the Excelsior class is wrong. Why? Because none of them are based on the original studio model. I'm not sure where you got your measurements for the OSM, but I don't believe they are correct. The biggest problem is that everyone is getting the size of the saucer wrong. It is bigger that most people realize. The model was originally just over 91 x 36 inches wide (the Ent-B fin added about an inch). And there shouldn't be much confusion because the best photos of the model configuration were released in 1984. The Digital Muse Excelsior was patterned after Greg Jein's Excelsior, which was also made from photo references, not the original studio model. Trying to create accurate drawings has been difficult, but I've uncovered some great info and a horde of pictures along the way. After the Excelsior and Enterprise B models I also took the measurements of the EM Curry. I'm pretty sure the model is based on the components of Ed Giddings' Excelsior mesh, as it has the same inaccurate proportions. However, I think in the Curry configuration these inaccuracies aren't very noticable, so the model still looks more accurate than EM's Excelsior and Enterprise B.

A little secret I uncovered that I don't think CBS wants advertised is that because these are models of vehicles, even fictional vehicles, they are not copyrighted. Paramount patented all the ships they made as toys to protect the IP, but the TOS designs and everything that is 17 years old or older has no legal protection to the design. It cannot be marketed with the Star Trek name on it without proper licensing, but Eaglemoss is free to make these model to any size or scale they see fit using any design they see fit.i think it's time for the enterprise-A from star trek beyond, given the kelvin timeline's complete lack of representation in the XL line, my fingers are crossed, but there still might be a licensing issue tripping them up over the size these things can be.
these are from the new star trek discovery - designing starships book:Do any of you have the Magee class USS Shran?
If so, do you have the booklet, and acess to a scanner, or a good camera?
It looks like these were done in SketchUp, with the hard polygon lines showing.these are from the new star trek discovery - designing starships book:
