Hiiiiii. I was active here from circa 2009-2010 then fell off the face of the BBS for myriad reasons. It's probably a long shot that 1.) anyone I knew back then is still actively kicking it around these parts or 2.) knows who the heck I am. In the off chance of either, hello again! And to those I don't yet know, I'm looking forward to meeting you and talking all things Niner. Loved it when it aired, saw the documentary when it dropped, and wow am I stoked!

That wouldn't be me. I definitely came after. However, I am always happy to see an old-timer whose name isn't lined out (which is becoming surprisingly common).

I'm very happy the documentary came out, even if it the last hurrah for the series.

I’m not familiar with this documentary. Can you tell me how to access it?

I was actually hoping that CBS would do a DS9 of some kind, even if only animated.

Yeah, it's a little surprising how many are no longer around. Looks like there was a lot of drop off around 2014, at least of the folks I knew.

If the documentary is the last send off for DS9, it's a beautiful one. No complaints here.

I just re-watched the whole thing again (2nd time) and was pleasantly surprised at how good it still is.
Glad to find this board so I have someone to trek out with. :)

I’m trying to get my wife to do a rewatch, but, with the Picard show coming that will keep us busy. I was saddened at the death of René Auberjonois.

Hello! Long time Trek fan and lurker here. I made my account ages ago but never really posted much. But I did follow a lot of threads. Glad these boards still exist and that Trek is experiencing a resurgence of new "TV" material. DS9 and TNG were always my favorite Trek shows. Favorite characters for me are Garak, Kira, Ezri, Odo, Worf, and Nog. I was happy to be a backer of the WYLB documentary as well. Did a rewatch of DS9 that ended last year, and while some things are finally showing their wear (not bad considering it's 20 years later) much of it is still as timely as ever. Anyway, just wanted to say hi, and hoping to engage in some conversation from time to time.

Similar to Spot, I think Kira's my favorite, and I love all the other ones you mentioned! The one I don't know anything about is Ezri. I'm just at the beginning of the Dominion War, but I know Ezri Dax exists. When DS9 was new, I didn't regularly watch it, and didn't notice just how great Odo, Worf, and O'Brien are.

I want to say, Funko has never really been great with Star Trek, especially when it comes to pop figures.

That's a surprise. Funko creates games for every other character and real person.

I just recently joined, as "Picard" brought me back into the Trek orbit, but DS9 will always be my # 1 love.

Same for me. I got really into Trek in high school, but then I cooled on it as my interests started to grow in other directions. But the announcement of Picard rekindled the fire, and I've spent the last several months revisiting each series. DS9 is still my #1.

Exact same story here. I think I checked out during season 2 of ENT. Was in college then. Neither the Abrams movies or that first free episode of Discovery really lit the fire for me again.
