Trek guest actors in maybe surprising roles

Oh my stars and garters! I found the 1963 Shatner "Alexander the Great" on YouTube!

Flipping through the channels and I stumbled across Warren Stevens holding Fess Parker's family hostage in an episode of Davy Crockett.

Joseph Cotton told a reporter in 1963 that it was the most expensive pilot of all time at that point — $350,000 over budget.

There were a LOT of extras in the troops! I'm not sure if the battle scenes were stock footage or staged for the show, but they were vast.
One thing they got wrong historically - they gave Alexander a girlfriend.

A little off the wall since we're talking about TV and movies, but I found that William Shatner was in a handful of episodes of Rod Serling's 1973-1974 radio anthology drama series "The Zero Hour." I listened to one of these, in which Shatner played a private detective hired to thwart a pair of blackmailers. No visuals to go with this, unless somebody has a photo of him in the recording studio!

"his name was David Solbird back then." Turned out she was serious, and correct about his name. Blew my 10 year old mind.

IMDB says "David Richard Solberg".

Of course it does. It's a wiki, with little editorial oversight. It's only better than some others because the posters there are usually right.

The child born David Solberg grew up in the long shadow of ancestral beliefs. His grandfathers on both sides were celebrated evangelists. His parents, Richard and June Solberg
Mim Solberg, his first wife

I can't find the post about Marianna Hill in The Astral Factor! It's odd as I saw that movie last week and it was a very poor transfer but the original message seems to have disappeared?

Many thanks, M'Sharak! I thought I'd remembered that post from last month or earlier but not all the way back in January!!! :D
