Marvel films, it's time for a Black female lead

So you just have not read my last few posts, especially when I said originally my point was difficult to articulate (and more recently I was able to) ..you don't care about opinions, you just want to attack someone.

That's fine. Oh and you should buy Gillette razors.. And Bounty paper towels. All of these companies are becoming more woke every day. I even hate the term "woke" but as long as the big companies tell me in a strawman form what is wrong with society and then pretend that they know how to correct it, I'm not going to care about their product

WHUT?????

I guess the point I'm trying to make is that usually, when I've been at work, I go into the breakroom to talk to others about movies. We get all excited. Star Wars. Black Panther, Die Hard whatever. But the conversation is never.. "well I just wish the main character was black. Or latino" We certainly probably wouldn't object to such things, but the excitement is not what checkboxes a role fits in, or whether or not it helps a studio fill a quota as to what it should be doing. The excitement to see a movie is about that movie, what is the premise.. what is the style of it, how hyped am I?
Just out of curiosity how many of these people are white? How many are not? How often do you talk about racial issues with these people?
Race is a touchy topic, so it's not the kind of thing people are going to just spontaneously bring up, especially white talking to white people, or even non-white people talking to white people.

I think you might not be seeing how your posts are coming across, because even if it's not your intent, it really does sound pretty racist and sexist.

it really doesn't matter. there are a few blacks. My point is the same. We care about the films.. the style the content.. and whether we are excited by it. And the films can have anyone in it, black white, latino, I'm good with all of them. But my problem is roced diversity, making a hot button button political issue that is current the reason for making decisions regarding entertainment . I mean my favorite rock singer is black. One of my top 5 favorite actors is black. but i like them for what they do not what race they are

And do you discuss race with them on a regular basis?

Belive it or not most black people are pretty wrapped up with such thoughts as: What am I going to have for dinner tonight and : I wonder when I should take my holiday days.

You know, normal stuff.

Not everyone is like you sitting around thinking about diversity and social justice.

I'm wondering if Deadgirl, who is blue, is not white?

She dated Doctor Strange for a hot minute.

He also dated Night Nurse, which means calling Rosario Dawson's agent.

Stephen Strange is a slut.

This is nothing more or less than deflection and evasion.

Let's be clear: in multiple lengthy posts you have presented no valid, supportable argument or line of reasoning to support your complaints. Your posts, in fact, have not demonstrated that you have anything to say on this subject that's worthy of attention.

So it's not surprising that when directly confronted on the emptiness of your complaints you respond only with that pointless, irrelevant and poorly reasoned post.

There's a google results list of gay Marvel comics characters, and the most hilarious result is Hercules. I doubt Marvel has written any overtly LGBT stories with Hercules BUT... A few thousand years ago the Greeks didn't seem so Victorian.

A Howling Commando is gay, Pinky, retroactively since the 60s/40s.

I keep forgetting that Moon Knight's valet is gay, ( I read 2 years worth of Moon Kight in a weekend last month but it didn't come up) but now I think that his name Frenchie is about his endless surplus of condoms kept at the ready, more so than that he is French, because men are just assholes. Hell, we never heard his "accent" so how can we really be sure that he is French?

Korg!? The Rock monster alien dominating playstation at Thor's place in Avenger's Endgame.

Victoria Hand. Saffron Burroughs. Seen and murdered on Marvel's Agent's of S.H.I.E.L.D..

Okoye (Michonne from the walking Dead) is a black lesbian. The weird thing about that is that all of the Dora Milaje are married to the Black Panther (in the comics at least) which is more of a religi-political situation than anything approaching "love". So the Dora Milajeare are all together the wives of the Black Panther (whoever that may be, including Princess/Queen Suri?) but if they were to have a relationship with a man (or a women) in violation to their "marriage vows" that is treason, and punishable by death(???).

I'm not the one that came up with the thread title. I was just responding to it
