I randomly remembered a day camp I went to when I was 12 at the Museum of Science. One project at the end was to pitch a new exhibit to the museum’s board about cells.
I remember I’m the only one who wanted to pitch something they might realistically go for. I suggested just a cell diagram with buttons that make each part light up. All the other kids wanted to pitch this giant elaborate expensive thing that involved having a room for every part of the cell including a restaurant in the vacuole.
Thinking about that also makes me think about a time I was six and they had a contest to guess the number of books in the library and I won by virtue that I guessed in 4 figures, whereas all the other kids guessed over a million.
