So long as you can maintain something close to 1g of acceleration (and braking) that layout is exactly what you need.
 
That cutaway looks nice and pretty ambitious and looks like they watched The Expanse it's a vertical ship with floors. I wonder if they will use thrust so you can walk on those floors.
uses chemical rockets so burn times would be brief and limited.
 
If this floor plan is an actual floor plan, and not an artistic impression done for PR purposes, the comfortable walking arrangement would be only useful before lift-off from Earth, and after landing on Mars. Not sure if you're supposed to stay in the Starship once you land there, but I'm pretty sure nobody would be allowed to use the showers or the kitchen during a couple of hours or less of intermittent burns. Shame, cause if you timed the time outs correctly, you might be able to play a >1g basketball game in the cargo hold during burning time. So long as you're willing to play during an earthquake. Also, that's definitely a zero-G toilet, the one thing that doesn't draw me to space.

Conservation of motion applies to motion, therefore explicitly not to acceleration.
 
Conservation of linear momentum, which is a consequence of Noether's first theorem. (Each differentiable symmetry of a physical system's action corresponds to a different conservation principle. An action is a mathematical functional of the dynamics of a physical system, which returns a numerical value for the system's trajectory.)

Hmmm... That means that if I break the conservation of energy by losing half my mass, I would suddenly travel at twice the velocity? I think I just invented the weight loss drive.
The equations say you'd halve both your momentum and your energy. Velocity (and therefore momentum) is relative, not absolute, so what would it be twice relative to? Also your body chemistry would likely stop working and you might well disintegrate. Don't mess with inertial mass.

OK I was watching You Only Live Twice and all I could think of that base was an evil 60s SpaceX The rocket even landed like the ones today.

Billionaire Larry Ellison bought his own volcanic island. However, he doesn't appear to be into rockets. None of the super rich seem to have all the attributes of a Bond super villain. Some like pussy galore buts that's another story...
 
Starhopper 200m test is pushed back a few days while they wait for FAA approval. The current launch permit is for unlimited hops under 25m.
 
Starhopper flight scheduled for Friday now. it's almost certainlg going to make a big fireball. people who haven't watched Delta 4 Heavy launches haven't seen a hydrogen flare like that before but its all good. at least at 200 meters it will rise above it this time.
