I can't decide if Roddenberry was a genius or a super freak .![]()
That gray thing they put Deanna in for most of the show. I noticed a certain detail of it on a rewatch and became deeply, deeply embarrassed for Marina Sirtis and ashamed of how someone, somewhere thought that was okay to do to someone
I genuinely am not sure what outfit you mean here.Urgh...you mean that dress which had that "enter here"-sign on it?
Nah. I liked it. Simple solution to help distract him when Data needed to save the day. The use of pheromones and other scenes to lure, distract or deflect others has been used for ages.
Honestly, out of all the stuff in that episode, I think the pheromone spraying is the least cringe-worthy...

If someone hasn't already listed the pimple and boob gags of Star Trek: Insurrection I'll declare them Cringe Trek.
She had different gray ones that had a colored application shaped like a V pointing to her crotch
This one? I never took that as pointing to her crotch. Just something to accentuate her hips. The "Welcome Sign" is a chevron-shaped belt with the point aimed at Deanna's crotch. I was confused, I always saw her main jumpsuit, that she wore from at least season 3 until Jellico told her to switch to a regulation uniform. It's ill-fitting and destroys the actor's dignity.
... Love Instructors -- I never read the TMP novel, but word has it that it has a ton of cringe.
Roddenberry wasn't so great at writing prose fiction.
