If one goes by STO, two different Factions formed after Romulas was destroyed.
One going forward and trying to live peaceably and the other the leftovers from the previous ruling class.
One could assume that those kind of structures are probably found all over the Earth by that time.
Yeah, maybe those structures are used more in agricultural areas.
The teaser feels like the show will open with Admiral Picard narrating the story of why he leaves Starfleet. Could the entire Picard show be a "flashback" showing us what happened after Nemesis?
I think the narrator is Romulan with the "you led us out of the darkness" comment. If so, could it be that after being rescued some elements of the Romulans then decided to turn and attack the Federation?
There was also a civil war before the supernova I think.
I might be thinking of the novels.
Hard to say from the teaser since it looks like some shots are purely promotional material, since those hands look too young to be Picard's.

Didn't touch me at all. I loved TNG (with the exception of the movies) but...nah.
Fingers crossed it'll surprise me.
Finally, after a rather depressing and rainy month, something to feel totally hyped about. Absolutely loved the understated dignity of it. The images of a retired Picard tending his vineyard definitely remind me of Lucius Quinctius Cincinnatus and his plow so I'm wondering if his character arc would go along the lines of reluctantly taking up the mantle of service again.
Yes, I am sure there will be more to it. It's very common in TV shows to take an event that the audience knows in broad strokes and then reveal the secrets and drama of what actually happened. I do like the idea that maybe the Federation turns back the refugees. That is certainly something that I could see really offending Picard's moral compass and causing him to lose faith in the Federation. Or maybe Section 31 caused the Supernova? If Picard finds out that Section 31 caused the destruction of Romulus and the Federation Council secretly approved it, that would certainly cause Picard to lose faith in the Federation.
This may be some sort of an interview in the honor of the anniversary of that "event". Picard may be back at the Starfleet HQ in those leaked pictures for that interview and some official function.
Anyone hope that the show will introduce the Odyssey class Enterprise F? It would be so cool to get a new starship Enterprise on the TV screen.

Damn, I've been a huge sucker for everything related to future TV on Babylon 5, so I'd absolutely love to see an episode or a part of it (perhaps the teaser for the first episode) that's actually framed and presented as the interview with Picard himself as it would appear on a Federation news channel, maybe with a few talking heads back in a studio voicing a few questions or offering a bit of background on what happened to him and how he's perceived in the public today...
Yep, that's what I meant. We speculated here that they may be arcologies, but the Art of the Movie ST'09 book suggests they're enormous automated megafarms, which maybe fits better with them being in both Iowa corn fields and French fields outside a vineyard.One could assume that those kind of structures are probably found all over the Earth by that time.
