That was a perk in the original Axanar Kickstarter. Whether or not they actually got made is a different story.

That would be a neat dodge around the settlement, wouldn't it? AP can't crowdfund but Lane can, so Lane crowdfunds, makes a film and loans/donates the props/costumes to AP for Axanever.

Yeah it's silly.....Lane wants like $7500 for uniforms/boots for a 8-10 minute film...........and like you say THEN what happens to the uniforms? People deserve to be robbed if they give to this crap.

The rule is there to block unlicensed "pirate" vendors out of the market. CBS said it's okay to make your own uniforms and props. The grey area is if you have your local taylor shop custom make costumes. I suspect CBS won't care if it's a one-off project for the film and not a full production run to sell at cons.

I can see that it would be a problem for a film set in a timeframe in which the TOS or TNG uniforms just aren't right. Would a licensed vendor carry what you need? Probably not. So, what do you do? Change the script to match the props/costumes? Buy licensed TOS/TNG costumes and have a taylor modify them (which could cost as much as simply having them made whole cloth)? Force the actors to make them and hope they don't look like cr@p?

Are patches Star Trek? IIRC Enterprise was the only series that had them and that was set pre-Federation.
