Spoilers DC's Legends of Tomorrow - Season 4

Vandal Savage acted and sounded soooo differently I at first thought they stuck a look alike in the costume. No, it was Casper Crump, I just discovered he was hinting at a new appearance on Instagram before it aired, pictures of him and Brandon from first season but clearly about tonight. Weird.

Like everything on the show. Some stuff works better than others. The Monitor shaking his head and eating a bag of Popcorn... LOL!

I'm disappointed that they wrote out Zari, though they did resolve the question of how they'd reconcile her evil-ARGUS future with ARGUS's continued not-quite-evilness under Lyla on the other Earth-1 shows. And hey, they managed to bring back Maisie Richardson-Sellers after writing out Amaya, so maybe there's hope for Tala Ashe returning too.

I love how they handled the Monitor's cameo. The other three shows gave us these ominous cliffhangers for the Crisis, and the Monitor had a direct influence on the two he appeared in, taking Oliver to his destiny and setting free one or two of next season's Supergirl villains. So we were primed to expect some big ominous closing scene -- and instead we got the comedic equivalent of the original Crisis's "red sky crossovers." Only on Legends.

Interesting that the actual tease for next season involves Astra Logue. That suggests Constantine may be sticking around. Unless it turns out she was just the catalyst for releasing whoever it was that she was giving a "second chance" to.

Surprising how many Supergirl fans there are on an Earth that Supergirl's only been seen on maybe 3 times over the past few years. Sara looks good in the costume, though. (Don't let Alex see that, though. Her former one-night stand dressed up as her sister? Eek.)

I think they are keeping Tala Ashe on the show. There could be multiple ways. Given the COIE, they could have another Earth version of her, but it makes more sense just to see who she is in the new timeline.

I also thought it was a bit weird that there were so many Supergirl fans.

I just wish they would write Mona out of the show. She has to be the worst character on any TV show I currently watch.

The bad news is I think that this was the worst season across the board for all the DC shows. Arrow was ok, and Flash was still good thanks to the Nora storyline, but Legends and Supergirl were terrible for me. Legends became boring and Mona was like nails on a chalkboard.

She was not funny. She was not quirky. She was just annoying.

The good news is that all the shows had teasers for next season that looked very promising. I liked all of them for a reason.

I belatedly realized... Nora is still cursed to be a fairy godmother, isn't she? Moreover, she's still Gary's fairy godmother, at least until he renounces her. But that alone won't break the curse.

As with The Flash's finale, it's surprising how little this finale did to hint at next season's villain/story arc, aside from that tease about the soul being released from the vault in Hell. Maybe they want to leave things clear for the buildup to Crisis on Infinite Earths.

I suspect it means that the first half seasons of these shows is going to be mostly the lead up the Crisis. Normally they do the Crossover, which is followed by each series’ mid season finale. Which is a cliffhanger dealing with their yearly Big Bad. But this season the season Break is happening in the middle of the Crossover. Crisis is the mid season cliffhanger.

Oh, that clarifies a lot for me.
I had the impression that Astra just used the historical villains' soul-marker coins as the payment in exchange for whatever soul she was "withdrawing." But apparently their souls were the ones she released, so the threat next season will be bad guys from history. Perhaps including Vandal Savage and Damien Darhk?

And Zari will still be part of the show, just not the Zari we know.

This is like when bad movies make references/jokes about much better movies, and you just wonder why they'd want to remind viewers that there is much better stuff that they could be watching. Well, ok, maybe not "much" better in the case of Supergirl and Arrow, but still an improvement over LoT.

Only if it's Rip Hunter who gets to punch him (again).

Oh, Arthur Darvill. Took me a moment.

I was going to suggest that Nate get to punch Hitler, since he's the one whose hero identity is in a Captain America vein, but I think it'd be more appropriate if someone other than a white, apparently non-Jewish, heterosexual cismale got to do it.

I honestly didn't even notice that, but you're right. I wonder if they'll leave her that way next season?
This was a lot of fun, I loved that they used Hey World and making people like the monster as the big plot to finish off the bad guy. Of course that kinda fell apart once Tabitha showed up, but it was still fun while it lasted.
Hank showing up after Nate died was a nice little surprise, and I loved Vandal Savage's appearance. I kind of wish he was more like that back in Season 1, it would have made him a lot more interesting.
The Monitor's cameo was great.
I was surprised we didn't get more of a hint that they recognized something was wrong after Zari turned into her brother. I'm very curious to see what the new Zari is going to be like.
So I wonder if the end of the episode means Astrid will be our big bad, or if she was just the catalyst to get them out into the world?
So whose coins did she grab?
I know I saw Caligula, and Stalin, and the article @Caretaker linked to mentioned Genghis Khan.
