Spoilers DC's Legends of Tomorrow - Season 4

According to an interview about Crisis on Infinite Earths on IGN , Legends Season 5 is going to be a sequel to Crisis on Infinite Earths.

In the sense that Crisis comes first and will be used to set up the arc for the next season, rather than in the sense that the story for season 5 will grow directly out of the Monitor and the multiverse and all that. Since they apparently wrote and shot season 5 before they did Crisis, that means they'll have written Crisis retroactively to set up whatever they've done for season 5. Which, judging from the trailer, is more directly a sequel to the season 4 finale where historical bad guys were released from Hell.

Ugh. If she becomes just another one of the incompetent idiots on the crew (aka acting like Sara, Ray, and Nate, who are so stupid I'm convinced that sometimes they just forget how to breathe for a few seconds), then that will be worse then her just leaving the show. The show has enough generic smiling idiots, so I really hope she isn't that different from what she was.

She's the last character that needed a reboot. If they were going to "reboo"t anyone, why not bring back the Sara Lance that was competent? Or the Ray Palmer who had an IQ higher then that of the average earthworm? Replacing Vixen with Charlie was a huge improvement for the show, but Zari really didn't need something like that.
Why are you watching a show where you hate 50% of the cast? That sounds unbearable. I would stop watching a show if that was happening.

Because the other 50% is good? Because the plots of the episodes actually work with the good half of the cast? I mean, the show will never be what it was in season 1, when it was an outright excellent show and had a mostly great cast (not counting Vandal Savage and Hawkman, whose actors were unbelievably terrible), but I enjoyed Season 4. I want more with the characters I like, and as of Season 4 the stuff I like outweighs the stuff I dislike. I'm down to just Flash, Batwoman and Legends when it comes to good DC shows, so I won't drop Legends again unless it goes back to the crappiness of Season 2/most of Season 3.

Now, is it possible I'll drop it eventually? Probably. I've even dropped Flash, one of my favorite supoerhero shows ever, for a season because it got unwatchable (the curse of Season 4, which has effected every CW show that has gotten to that point except Legends). But, as of right now, I want to see more adventures with Mick, Constantine, Zari (assuming she isn't ruined), Charlie, etc. Mick by himself is amazing enough to compensate for most of the shitty part of the cast, and now that I've gotten used to the show being mostly style over substance, I'll probably get at least as much enjoyment out of Season 5 as I did out of Season 4. There will be some episodes I absolutely lothe, but there will also be ones I really, really enjoy. Its more of a quality roller coaster then Flash or Batwoman, which are more solidly good shows, but based on how much I wanted to binge watch S4 while I was watching on Netflix, I'll probably find enough to enjoy in Season 5 to make it more then worth watching.

So what's up with Routh? I thought he was leaving the show but he seems to still be around. Is it just the end of "Ray" or is he just doing "special appearances" now or ???

Today's Morning Spoilers over at Io9 included the synopsis for the first episode of Legends Season 4, Meet The Legends.

Sara (Caity Lotz), Ray (Brandon Routh) and Mick (Dominic Purcell) are shocked to discover that the Legends have become famous. It seems that everyone except Sara is loving the spotlight, so much so that they invite a documentary crew on board the Waverider to film them as they investigate a strange new blip in the Timeline. The Legends discover that their new problem is none other than Rasputin, who happens to be straight out of hell, and it might be tougher than they thought. Meanwhile, Constantine (Matt Ryan) thinks he knows the reason behind these new blips and informs the team that it won’t be easy to defeat. Nick Zano, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Tala Ashe, Jes Macallan and Olivia Swann also star. Kevin Mock directed the episode written by Grainne Godfree & James Eagan.

^ Perhaps, but Flash's and Riverdale's reign of terror in producing more bad seasons hardly affects those of us who don't want it to. ;)

Came to the board, and this thread was first in line. Just clicked and your post was there...I assumed in your excitement, you left out a link announcing the renewal. No offensive was intended. Of the emoticons featured, that one seemed to fit (my amusement over guessing the absent link).
Forgive me, Beebo. ;)

Ah, my apologies for my snark. In the past, I've had the eyeroll used as a dismissive to things I posted. I overreacted. I'm very sorry.

I realized as I was reading the article in the link that we are now down to just three cast members from Season 1, Caity Lotz, Amy Louise Pemberton, and Dominic Purcell. According to Wikipedia we've gotten an on screen appearance by Amy Pemberton once a season since Season 2. I wonder if they'll find a way to have her make another appearance this season?
