I am very annoyed at the people of Northern Tasmania. The two Northern seat have changed from Labor to LNP. As far as Southern Tasmania is concerned - Julie Collins (ALP) increased her vote in my electorate which is a safe ALP seat. She is a politician that I respect. Andrew Wilkie (Ind) won his seat on first preference votes and once preference are factored in he is up around 70%. Top guy, wish there were more like him. Also slight increase for Labor in Lyons (Central Tasmania).
OK overall I'm disappointed. I thought we'd get a minority Labor win but nope Australia does it again. 4 more years of LNP. Well done. Climate change policy will take a back seat for another 10 years.
Because people answer them based on giving their preferred party a kick up the bum but when it comes to election day they vote for them?
There has been some good news with Anning losing his seat. I think a lot of the blame for goes for how they handled Queensland. Anyways saw this hashtag on facebook - #Albo4Leader - as Shorten won't be the leader. Either Tanya or Anthony will lead the party now.
Lesson for the Labor, don't have policies. don't have vision hide your ministers and you'll win. that the lnp lead by scumo with no policies, no vision, ministers in hiding (and won't deliver a surplus next year) can be re-elected beggars belief. Though I'm sure the lying pile of shit that is news corpse had a big hand in it. scumo will have toss his some more millions. And if Albenese or Plibersek are labor leader, scumo is gonna start to stink in the polls real quick.
Some good: Anning gone Abbott gone Zero for UAP (Clive did his dough, though feel sorry for QNickel staff) Zero for PHON Lambie back (eh, I'll take it). Lots bad: Final count ScoMo still in Barnaby still in (FFS!) Too many old cabinet members still in. Way too upset at this time.
4 more years of the same. And there will be no action on climate change but probably lots of sitting on hands.
Because there's profit to be made and coal to be mined, and oil, and gas, and yeah did I mention profit?
I was in the shuttle on the way to the Auckland Airport and there was the news about the election result. Didn't expect it at all. Having spent a few days in NZ and kind of absently taking in the News and there is the Kiwi PM Jacinda Arden who is Labour but so appealing. She's fantastic. That's what I'm getting at, when a Party doesn't win over the electorate they need to take stock. Negative electioneering isn't working. Day in and day out whining about how awful some leader is doesn't produce results. I really think that when someone loses in an election they should look to themselves because what they're doing isn't working.
