So which episodes were your favourites?

For a slight change of subject what was everyone's favourite episodes of season 2?

For me 1, 2, 4, 8, 12, 13, and 14 were mine and the Talos IV episode was easily the top favourite for me of the whole season.

Probably episode 1. The introduction of new characters, incredible special effects/CGI, fun pace. And we were all still excited about the RA concept.

If Memory Serves
Brother
New Eden
The Sound of Thunder

Well great minds think alike. Can't argue with those choices.

Speaking of Tomalak every time he was on screen in TNG I burst out laughing whether it was the odd way they showed him on the viewscreen trying to make it look 3D or something it just amused me whenever he came onscreen.

I loved the character, and The Defector is actually a top 3 episode of TNG for me. May Andreas Katsulas rest in peace. :(

Hmm, this is a difficult choice! Season 1 is easy, with Lethe being the only one not bogged down by the ongoing nonsense, and even better that it managed to really justify the familial connection and did it in a way that I found additive rather than reductive. Sarek, Burnham, and even Spock (despite never appearing) were enriched as characters by that episode.

While I liked Season 2 leagues more than Season 1, the nature of the continuing story (especially once it kicked into gear after Light and Shadows) makes it hard to separate them. I think An Obol for Charon wins as best in the season, due to the sphere plot being a good concept as well as for the scenes between Saru and Burnham. Runner-up would be Such Sweet Sorrow, Part 1 (even though Part 2 failing to stick the landing diminishes the impact a bit in retrospect). I'm surprised to see Light and Shadows and If Memory Serves so fondly remembered, as for me those were the lowest in the season.

If Memory Serves is my favourite because it ties directly into The Cage and it's just to me a really great episode and didn't stray too far from what they had set up in The Cage. It's a nice episode in an overly dark yet entertaining season.

Mine is probably still Brother, but I loved the other Spock episodes (Light & Shadows and If Memory Serves), and both parts of the finale. Saints of imperfection was pretty good too

"Point of Light"
"If Memory Serves"
"Project Daedelus"
"Through the Valley of Shadows"
"Such Sweet Sorrow"

“New Eden” by a margin over “If Memory Serves” and the two parter.

Sorry a man named Chris(t) sacrifices himself, disappears in a beam of light to heaven, reappears healthy - reanimates a church - and goes to heaven again in a beam of light - wonderful. Accompanied by two wise women.

In a story about faith. Marvelous.

“It’s a church, Burnham”. Amazing line for Trek.

Actually thinking about it that way it does sound better. :)
