Based on what?Right. Everyone is assuming that Disney is throwing Rian Johnson's ideas away, but we don't know that yet.
It does seem likely though :-(

The trailer, the title, the direction star wars grosses are going.Based on what?
I got none of that from the trailer or the title, TLJ was the highest grossest film of 2017 and JJ has said that TLJ was in line where he had wanted the story to go. So I doubt Rey's parents will suddenly become Luke and somebody or Han and Leia. It's even hinted at in TFA.The trailer, the title, the direction star wars grosses are going.
Rey: I have to get back to Jakku.
Maz: Han told me. Dear child, I see your eyes; you already know the truth. Whomever you're waiting for on Jakku, they're never coming back. But there's someone who still could.
Rey: Luke.
Maz: The belonging you seek is not behind you, it is ahead. I am no Jedi, but I know the Force. It moves through and surrounds every living thing. Close your eyes... feel it. The light... it's always been there, it will guide you. The saber, take it.
Han: He was training a new generation of Jedi. There was nobody else left to do it, so he took the burden on himself. Everything was going great, until... one boy, an apprentice, turned against him and destroyed it all. Luke felt responsible. He just...walked away from everything.
I'm am confident on the first one of Luke being a Force Ghost (that whole more powerful thing) and so happy to see Rose coming back!I don't think the movie is going to be about Luke raising from the dead. More a new Jedi order made in Luke's image and taught by Rey, who could be called Skywalkers in his honor. I'm pretty sure Force Ghost Luke will be a presence at least trying to appeal to Kylo Ren or maybe giving guidance to Rey.
Also we know Rose is going to be in it, the actress was at SWCC and got a huge applause.
I got the idea from Yoda that Jedi are sort of conduits for the Force and the body is just a shell, crude matter as he calls it, so a Jedi shedding their body has no affect on them. The body may even limit them because without it, their full abilities are unleashed. We just never saw this because it wasn’t important to Luke’s story and they probably didn’t have the budget.I'm am confident on the first one of Luke being a Force Ghost (that whole more powerful thing) and so happy to see Rose coming back!

Avengers: Endgame at $1.66B already. Should pass $2B and both Avengers: Infinity War and Star Wars: The Force Awakens during this weekend, with a slight chance to also catch Titanic for #2 all time. (current all time global box office)

One would think. But, the way the reactions are to "Luke's dead!" after TLJ I'm not taking anything for granted.Isn't that kind of a given at this point, though?
- we hear him speaking in the trailer
- we saw him disappear
- we know the other ghosts had had the ability to contact him
Ok, I have more detail for you then. The emperor laugh - Johnson stated that his goal was to take the franchise FORWARD. The emperor is clearly BACK. The repairing of Renn's mask - he is supposed to be stepping out of the shadow of Vader. Except nah, he likes the shade. The death star wreckage - cuz we need a death star in 2 out of 3 movies. I am fine with nostalgia, and will watch and be happy with it, but it just seemed like Star Wars might finally try something original as a follow up to TLJ and now it no longer looks that way.Based on what?
With Friday's takes, Endgame is now at $500 million domestically and just shy of $2 billion worldwide (at $1.91 billion). It beat The Force Awakens' record for fastest to $500 million by a whole two days. Box Office Mojo predicts a $150-153 million second weekend, which would just barely break The Force Awakens' record at $149 million.
At this rate, I'll be surprised if it doesn't reach Avatar's worldwide record, especially since it's already only $130 million shy of Infinity War's final take.
Did it kill your mother? It's just a movie, relax.Good. Die, Avatar, die! Hahahahahaha!
Anyone get the impression I don't like that movie? Okay, I don't. It was completely unmemorable and I wouldn't even watch it on free broadcast TV if I had nothing else to do. Completely undeserving of the all-time box office record. And I'm hoping its sequels go the usual route franchises take of progressively declining quality and box office.
It did kill my mother. She was aghast that such a bad movie made so much bank and just keeled over.Did it kill your mother? It's just a movie, relax.
