It'd still be a shame if we didn't see the Enterprise again. I really, really want to see the engine room.

Yes but i mean as the enterprise bridge would be sad not to see that set as it is

FWIW, the novel Crossroad had a wrecked, ancient Constitution-class ship being used by some rebels in the 26th century. Even with Disco's time jump, they could still use it.

Why not see the 1701 bridge in the S31 series, assuming that the DSC crew does not get back to the
    23d century by S4

I think the exterior has grown on me more quickly than the bridge has. Broke into my top 4 Enterprise ships.

    1. TOS
    2. the "D"
    3. Abramsverse 1701
    4. Discovery version

That you didn't include the refit is heresy!

The Section 31 series can still use that bridge, regardless of what eventually happens to Discovery.

I don't think they'll use it as a Section 31 bridge (they already have a set for that) but it could be the Enterprise bridge again, or that of another Connie.

    Kelvin 1701 and 1701 A are great.
Discoprise is solid especially with the official realistic increase in size.
I prefer the A and the B over the ToS refit and the original.

The C is blink and you will miss it, the D is just a cruise liner in space and far too soft a target for its size, the E was an improvement though and a step in the right direction.

Like the look of the F although for now its only in the books and STOnline.

The J is a low detail mess but that may change perhaps.

Isn't the A and refit one and the same? :)

I meant the original and any changes made which is what I thought the original poster was talking about.

Not the 1701-A refit which is of course gold along with the A before it.

I tend to think the refit-bridge (ST:TMP-STIV) has actually aged worse than the TOS bridge.

I really love the Abrams 1701. Though the 1701-A looks like someone tried to turn it into some kind of Starfleet tank.

The A isnt quite as smooth and rounded as its precursor, they made it a bit more angular in places, especially the dish edge.

    I like it though.

Personally the refit is my all-time favourite, followed by perhaps the reboot 1701, and then the B and D equally. I'm not sure after that. I do like all of them, but it's hard to rate them, as it changes from one time to the next.

Not a huge fan of the J, however. If they ever show it again, I hope they rework it a bit. I would like to see an official version of the F, mind you.

Edit: I also like a good many fan designs. Mine first, obviously, but I do like Madkoifish's design and the "JR prise", especially.

The Kelvinprise bridge was heavily redressed to become the USS Vengeance bridge, which is still the coolest bridge set of all time.

Was it? Looked entirely different to me.

As for being the coolest, meh. Too dark. Design was cool, though.

SInce we're all comparing and stuff, how I would rank all the 1701-iterations:

    1. TOS-version
    2. TOS refit
    3. JJprise
    4. Phase II concept version
    ....
    (long gaps)
    ...
    5. DISCOprise
    ...
    ...
    6. JJprise - Beyond version
    7. JJprise - A (refit)
