I don't want to be mean, but this post completely baffles me.
I would guess the logic is "Actors who played mentor figures for Christian Bale's Batman." Though I don't get why that would be the logic applied here.

I was thinking of actors who could mimick the personality of Zeke Fisher. I didn’t necessarily want to limit the possibilities to African American actors merely because Morgan Freeman, whom David Mack originally suggested was the template for the character, is African American, so I suggested a white actor. That both Freeman and Caine starred in Christopher Nolan’s films is only a coincidence.
As an aside, Anne Hathaway would make a terrific Romulan.
If we're going the Christopher Nolan Batman route, let's get Gary Oldman involved somehow. Good guy, bad guy, doesn't matter.
^Oldman would fit well in the Trek universe.
I always pictured Bill Cobbs, who I know already played Emory Erickson in Enterprise, but if the shows can reuse actors in different roles, why can't I?
It's been 12 years since you asked this question, Christopher. I apologize for dragging it up if you already got the answer. I've been re-reading the Stargazer series and asked te same question. I found an answer on Memory-Beta. It says she is soap opera actor Schae Harrison. But you probably found that out over the last 12 years.
Sorry for the bump too, but anyone have an actress in mind for both Anab Saed (Kevin Riley's Ex Wife) and Jenny Hogan? - both characters in A Flag Full of Stars.

^It doesn’t really matter if the actor has died, as people can easily imagine an older version of the character. I had no trouble picturing a young Paul Winfield when reading Vanguard or Seekers.
^ That reminds me...casting a younger Terrell if he should turn up on DSC.

Terrell was roughly Kirk’s age, so he’d have been a junior officer, but there’s no reason why he couldn’t appear.
What about T'Ryssa Chen? Anybody have any ideas about who would be ideal to portray her?
It kind of strikes me that in some ways, she talks like a very young Teri Garr, but that hardly fits with her being half Vulcan, nor with her Human ancestry being Asian.
