It looks like an escalator should open out of the bottom with Bugs Bunny riding down, eating a space carrot.

There were a few concept giant SSTO plug nozzle vehicles that were proposed back in the 1960s such as Ithacus and Rombus. The plug nozzle doubled as a heat shield. I assume it used evaporative cooling.

Seeing a Gemini up close it is unbelievable that two people spent DAYS in that tiny little can, unable to even move. I imagine the three people on Voskhod must have been cramped beyond belief too. Takes a special sort of person to have the drive to still go through all that.

I thought Voskhod was only a 2-man capsule. Ah -- Voskhod 1 was 3 man; Voskhod 2 was 2 man. That's right. Only two manned flights IIRC.

It at least had a retro rocket so the crew could stay inside the pressure vessel until it landed. The Vostok cosmonauts had to bail out before it landed and parachute the rest of the way. I believe Gagarin landed in a potato field in his space suit and had to calm the local farmers and explain he needed to use their telephone.. It was was no mistake that Tereshkova was a skydiver.

Are bookies taking bets on which part the anomaly will be in?

I'm going for B1052.1 side booster, during max Q.

Did they recently have a launch and something went boom?

Saw something on the weekend and not sure if it was SpaceX or someone else.

Interestingly, Falcon Heavy wont be flying again until 3rd quarter, 2020, according to manifests. SpaceX is going to be busy with final configuration for crew Dragon off LC-39a, and, I suppose, getting the pad ready for the first Starship orbital. they'll have more about that in a couple of weeks, apparently.
