Which is the stronger ship, Disco or Enterprise?

We need more Star Trek video games out there so we can find out ourselves. Having played Star Trek 25th Anniversary and Judgment Rites you'll be surprised at how weak the Enterprise actually is. ;)

Definitely Enterprise. It's a Constitution class heavy cruiser designed to counter the Klingon D-7 and built to take and administer an asswhipping.

not a fair comparison but one example of a science vessel vs a heavy cruiser were the two engagements of Reliant vs Enterprise. Even as beat up as Enterprise was from having been ambushed, it still took out an augment-crewed miranda class.

Miranda is hardly a science vessel. It’s a heavy destroyer to Enterprise heavy cruiser. Sure, all things being equal Enterprise would have kicked it’s ass, but if it wasn’t for one stubborn Vulcan they fight would have ended a draw.

Enterprise would the tougher ship in my mind. Crossfields had the science facility advantage, and its design seems taylored to spore research. The Connies are top of the line in everything else. :)

Games these days suck:

“Raise shields!” - that would a dollar please or please wait for 1 hour...
“Fire photon torpedoes!” - you will need to find the torpedoes in these storage boxes, but you can only open them once a day...
“But he is firing at me continuously?!” - ah the kid must have stolen his parent’s credit card...

The older Trek games did try to preserve a genuine feel--the 25th Anniversary and Judgment Rites games I played, and A Final Unity.

Now... let's just say I tried the new "Fleet Command" mobile game, and Kelvin timeline Scotty was gleefully ordering me to attack some Nausicaans who, as far as I could tell, hadn't even done anything to me...

Tell that to the F-35 brand new fighter that flew off against a much older F-16 and got its ass handed to it. Ships and planes of the same side absolutely do “virtually fight” against each other, and results are not always obvious.

Yup. It's important to find out tactical flaws before going out to fight an enemy, not during.

My ol Lawn Dart kicked some F-35 ass.

How old is Enterprise in Discovery? I keep getting mixed up with canon they synced up...
Discovery season 2 takes place in 2257. Assuming Robert April's command of Enterprise was a 5 year mission, the Enterprise launched in 2245, making it 12 years old in Discovery.

Pretty sure the 2245 launch date is visible on Pike's service record (which also includes the Enterprise's) if you freezeframe it.

FWIW, the idea that the Constitution-class is a reaction to the D7 is from the old FASA Four Years War RPG booklet, which a certain clusterfuck of a never-happened fan film was based upon.
