Would've been funnier if it had been the Death Star. ;)

I want the whole first episode to be nothing but this scene at the length Mel Brooks originally intended for it.

That would take me some time to get used to. Like 950 years or so I think.

Yes, if the people running CBS All Access tell them to.

I'd like to think no matter how far into the future you go, if there is a Starfleet, there will always be an Enterprise

That's because for some reason tribbles running the Federation over the next ten thousand years have a thing for tradition.

By the 32nd century starfleet will no doubt have to resort to alien alphabets. I look forward to seeing the Enterprise-Zort

    Yes, we will.

I daresay the show runners won't miss an opportunity to be the first to show us how far the Enterprise's legacy goes in the distant future. Even if the Enterprise is destroyed and the Federation has fallen, since this show is supposed to be about Discovery, we could be seeing how Discovery upstages the Enterprise's legacy in this new era.

I'm going to ignore the confusing moderator comment and answer the thread question "Will we see an Enterprise in Season 3?" The answer is sure as hell. We will see the original Enterprise, NCC-1701, when Discovery makes it back home (and probably before that, in a couple episodes).

Unless Kurtzman is trolling us, the jump to the future is permanent.

Name could be tarnished at some point in the next 1000 years. Though that wouldn't be good for merchandise sales.

    I don’t think we’ll see an Enterprise.

As much as I’ve enjoyed seeing Enterprise, I’m hoping season 3 of Discovery will take us some place else.
