We're getting at least two shows in the future now - I don't see such an issue with another show being in established territory, especially given the new viewers which Discovery has brought in.

That really wont surprise me but it wont do it any good as the data is beyond its reach.
Its more likely that Control was smarter than they realise and stowed away on the Discovery and went with it into the future, who knows what Control got up to while it was there.

I really enjoyed the finale, although I have a few issues.
Firstly, they were trying a bit too hard to tie up with Canon. Some of it felt organic, and some felt forced.
Secondly, they give with one hand and push their luck with the other: dozens of fighter ships, repair robots out of W.A.L.L-E.
Thirdly, with over 100 crew, they probably have 30 enginineers so I'm unclear why they delegate disabling a torpedo to the captain, first officer, and an admiral who trained as a counselor.
The worst part for me was Burnham's and Spock's languid lack of urgency. They spend maybe 4 minutes having a heart to heart while the shields are dropping and people are dying. Save your heart to hearts for log entries, not emergencies guys; that really is illogical.
At least the writers will be free to screw with Canon in the next season and if they are not planning some kind of Pike spin off, even a limited one, they are most definitely laying it on thick.

Since Discovery is going forward 1000 years, every set before this is now a prequel - I look forward for the calls for the Picard show to be cancelled.

After season one and the MU plot, season two became the start of the real Discovery with the crew coming to the fore. Except Enterprise Pike and Spock come along to drive the plot. Now they’re gone, in season three they can REALLY have the start of Discovery - just them, the Discovery crew working together on their own adventures
Season one annoyed me, I’ve enjoyed season two, having to go to the future seems awkward but I’m looking forward to seeing what the crew can do on their own

Leland was neutralized. Easy to imagine there's a backup of Control out there somewhere. We've seen it having taken over other people.
The spore drive's operation is illegal where Federation law is concerned and that's only the start of things. So if you want any development discouraged you classify the tech and don't make punishment a slap on the wrist.
Tyler was only a problem while there was opposition to L'Rell. I guess she's dealt with that problem by eliminating it, so he no longer needs to be 'dead'.
I think the sphere data itself was a danger, and as long as it existed it was a potential threat from Control, or another AI.
Unless the alleged Section 31 show is a red herring.
