Also, I'm getting tired of fans wanting everything to revolve around The Original Series. It happened in Season 4 of Enterprise and it is happening with Discovery. 2 seasons in and what is Discovery right now. I don't even think the writers know, but they could have given us a preview at the end of the season. To wrap of Season 2 of DISCOVERY with the Enterprise going on it's next mission felt wrong to me.

Wow! That was awesome! My first 10 for the series! Although, I think it probably deserves a 9.5. It had a little bit of everything in the best possible way. Action, relationships, sacrifice, etc. All of it working together for the story. Minus half a point for hinging on an unexplained time travel paradox. Discovery followed the signals initially and it gave them what they needed . . . for Burnham to be able to send the signals.

No timeline reset. But, yet an excellent rationale for no Spore drive and no Michael. Time jump with no return. All fits my prediction! Also, no Borg, which I also guessed! The only surprise is that they didn't tease us with where Discovery ends up.

We also saw why they had to front load all the goodbyes into part one. There was no break in the action for them in part two! The only mistake was not airing it as a two hour movie. Streaming them separately left those goodbyes awkwardly hanging out there mostly by themselves.

Extremely satisfying conclusion to an excellent season. The best season of Star Trek in a looooong time. Since the end of DS9, so twenty years. Hats off to the Discovery cast and crew!

I liked the episode a lot but it has its problems for sure. Gotta give it a 7.

There was still a lot of technobabble. The reset/notareset at the end was a little obnoxious but it does deal with TEH CANNON. And I think the science vs faith aspect could have been particularly stronger. I don’t mind the starfighters. Whatever. Why did they wait until the last minute to build the suit?

But the good? Thank God Control ain’t the Borg! Sorry to see Admiral Kat go but what an exit! I really wasn’t sure if it would be Kat, Number One or both there. I loved the 2001-ish of the going through the wormhole ($5 says Abdin updates his complaint to add the wormhole effect to the fire :brickwall:). I like the mystery of where they went. Seeing Stamets and Culber back together was nice (although I think it could have been better earned). And that last bit from Spock’s personal log to the end... damn!

DAMNIT, WE NEED MORE PIKE ADVENTURES!

After they showed us those repair robots, you’d think one of those could have pulled the switch instead of poor, genocidal Admjral Cornwell. But people on this show end up doing whatever the plot wants, so I guess it’s par for the course.

The manual control was specifically labeled something about only people of a certain rank or command level being able to operate it.

Nobody knows where its going. This also seemingly throws a wrench in Yeoh-led Section 31 series.

Yeah they can't do the Section 31 series now. Yeoh is still on Discovery. I hate to say it, but I think she might even be the Captain and reunite the whole Schinzou motif.

How much money can CBS All Access print to re-materialize Anson Mount as Captain Pike? Gonna take a whole lot of Benjamins, and I'm not talking Siskos here.
