Kind of want to give it a 10 but ill sit at 9. 9 point something.
The pacing again was really good on this. they gave the episode time to have real dialogue, involve every character. They didn't even forget Owo's backstory. I think I can see a bit of what they have ahead of them This core Discovery group is definately going somewhere or somewhen they haven't gone before, and I don't think that this necessarily implies the Zora future yet, but so far every Short Trek has been attached to some part of Season 2. I like that they got the goodbyes out of the way now. The last episode is going to have a lot of action.

I don't think they made that bridge set for two episodes for one minute. Speaking of which, Holy shit! I love that bridge! It even has colored blinklights for the fandamentalists! It won't assuage them but I like it just the same. Was a nice nod having those super crowded corridors. Obviously this time because the ship was filled with Discovery crew but the numbers were right for the later TOS crew count.

So unless anyone dies or somehow gets left behind next week, Discovery will have a skeleton crew of Saru as captain, Burnham..probably, Spock, Detmer, Owo, Nilsson, Empress, Po (two royals aboard.. interesting), Reno, Nhan, Stamets. Did Hugh remain? Anyone else I missed?

I haven't read any of these posts yet, but I'm betting this will be polarizing.

And I bet I could make a list of who liked it and who didn't based on two years worth of data on people's personal preferences.

;)

make it so

Space seems bright in this show when they're indoors.

And things in our culture are comically big. Pickups, nuclear family homes, even the new bank in town. We want space. Especially in space, I guess.
Just feels like a lot of wasted space. Doesn’t feel practical.

SO far, from what I've read up to this point the overall reaction is positive.

I think we are supposed to assume at this point that Jet and Stamets are sharing that duty on Discovery.
Either way they can end the matter because if there was a chief, he left with the Discovery crew. Wouldn't suprise me if that whole bit about Lorca faking a particular accent was for a reason. Enterprise loses their chief and a certain Mr Scott takes over from the people crossing over from Discovery.

That seems unlikely. How did she get the ship back to her planet?
Again, I think we're supposed to assume that the transporter was capable of sending PO back the "Plot Distance" to her home world.

The shorts obviously have "vagary of details" down to a science.
:techman:
