I saw "Runaway" and "Calypso" for the first time tonight
Obviously these shorts are made with sole intention of linking events in them to the main story arc, but can someone please tell me why Po isn't detected as an intruder, surely the ships computer would go into "Intruder Alert" mode ?
Also, how could Tilly just wander into the transporter room and beam her off board without alerting the Bridge ?
In "Calypso", are we to assume that Zora is the ship's computer as an evolved entity, or maybe that she is indeed, Control, banished to the future and feeling all nostalgic for human company.
There's got to be a big reveal regarding Zora and the abandoned ship awaiting it's crews return.
I know I'm talking shit here and probably stating the obvious, or even missing obvious pointers, but someone please enlighten me.

Apparently the Nox were members of a Toronto New Wave Band in the 80s too:
I didn't notice till rewatching it today that she somehow managed to use the computer in a nearby shuttlecraft to open the shipping container she was hiding in.
She was also able to make the food synthesizer in the mess hall go completely bonkers when she first met Tilly.
Both without physically touching anything.
SO, I'm gonna assume that she was more than capable of deceiving the Intruder Alert System in the shuttlebay and the rest of the ship.
What I found most puzzling was how did Tilly managed to beam Po back to her planet without anybody on the bridge knowing?

How to we know she didn't touch anything? She had a personal cloak running and was functionally invisible.
And Airiam's memories?
She was INSIDE the shipping container when accessing the shuttle computer (which was across the shuttlebay) to open it.
I guess the next red burst signal will be next to Xahia.
As for Calypso, after the self destruct fails the ship is ordered to go hide somewhere until the Control threat is over, and it will be a 1000 years before someone finds it. Zora is either Airiam memories or the Sphere or both.
And maybe Zora is the one sending the signals.

Yeah totally, and without the "threat assessment" mission the AI turns out benign
The moral :Control should have been shown more Fred Astaire movies.
All that means is she's a good hacker and the shuttlebay has wifi.
Well.. she must have used he mind to hack it then, cause she didn't have any computer-like item the the whole episode.
Seems to me if a box can be opened by computer its likely to have a computer built into it.
As for Tilly smuggling Po out of the ship, the minisode doesn't actually make that explicit. For all we know, Po got treated to five dinners at the Captain's Table before the ship reached Xahea again, but the Captain (whoever that was!) discreetly stayed out of the transporter room for the final farewells.

Ensign Tilly has her medal from "Will You Take My Hand" and her forehead mole has been removed, so this ought to be at some point after or perhaps during said S1 episode. Or then during one of the lulls of S2, of which there were many. There isn't a sedate spot for it in the latter half of S2, though.

Well, planets are either formed or built, so that's fake or a universal translator malfunction.
Or then planets are born. Nothing wrong with that choice of words as such.
Of course, an already existing planet might undergo a birth of some sort or another, either eighteen years before the events (to make the planet Po's twin) or then a bit longer agoe (to make the planet the twin to Po's species or culture or whatever). "Born-again" is classic doubletalk in many contexts today.
But then there's the chance of timey-wimey weirdness there, perhaps directly relating to the major events of S2...

She also turns off Tilly's screen in her quarters while both Po's hands are planted on her legs and she has a look of concentration on her face. She actually says her species was born at the same time as her planet. Considering all Po's neat tricks (Jem'Hadar shroud, spines coming out of her back, controlling technology with her mind) it's not out of realm of possibility that her race was constructed.
