Meaningless blinky lights give me purpose. Those consoles are close enough that I'm content with what we've seen thus far.
I'm not a fan of the neon blinking screensavers honestly. They were 90% of the reason why the TOS bridge looks so useless, when in fact it could be quite useful if it had meaningful displays. Any update should have done away with those.OMFG! This looks so awesome! It's the TOS bridge, if the TOS bridge were designed in 2019! Note that it even has the meaningless blinky lights above the consoles. I LOVE IT!!!!
Well, they are pretty clearly at Red Alert status there, after all...I like the bridge we seem to be getting now, but it's a little too red glowing.
But that was always true anyway...SCOTT: The Enterprise. Show me the Bridge of the Enterprise, you chattering piece of

Yeah yeah, I know people here weirdly wouldn’t like that, but I still think it would have been cool.
Why not? Would be more interesting seeing what a modern TV show would do with it.

Unfortunately Black Alert switches all the lights off and no one can see a thing.Yeah, the bridge in the trailer is at red alert, which usually darkens the lighting.
I thought that turned on all the black lights, which Kirk had removed after the first week as Captain.
Oh, I have the answer! Kirk's bridge was holographic. It was literally a holographic bridge in a design he liked best.
Pike's bridge in Discovery is how the bridge really looks like under those holograms. When Pike said to turn off the Enterprise holograms in Discovery, he meant to eliminate that ridiculous retro 1960s style holobridge. That's why it looks like it does in Discovery now.
On another note, something REALLY bad must happen because of those window/viewscreens between 2257 and 2265. We already know they were using them as of the Kelvin in 2233. By TOS, all window/viewscreens have been completely removed.
Maybe a Klingon was hiding in a spacesuit on the hull and peering into the bridge using these windows.
That's popular with me.Unpopular opinion: they should stop having John Eaves design the Enterprise.
Huh?Are there stills time the shots of the Discoprise bridge?
