In 2399, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a starfleet court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum-security starbase to the Alpha Quadrant underground. Today, still wanted by the federation, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem... if no one else can help... and if you can find them... maybe you can hire... The Picard Team
Propaganda. We know Federation is at its core very socialist. What's socialism without some good old propaganda
was giving IDWs TNG: Deviations a quick reread last night and wonder if any of that or The Last Generation will make it into this new Picard
Evan Evagora Joins Picard Show As Series Regular Based on how young he is I would guess that he's playing the young Romulan character, K'Bar
If you kinda squint a little bit, he could also pass for a young Stewart/Picard. Maybe the series features a lot of flashbacks, so they would cast "young Picard" as a regular?
He wasn't alive when TNG was in production. I'm only ten years older than him and I suddenly feel very old. K'Bar would be my guess too.
Yeah, I can see him transformed into "vulcanoid" quite a easily. Please, somebody, give me premiere date!
I've noticed that all of the three casting announcements to date are of multiracial actors. This is a damn good thing, because one of my big criticisms of past casting in the Trekverse is it's hard to portray future humans as being completely post-racist without having a lot of interracial relationships - and interracial people - be the logical result.
From the character breakdowns, it seems Picard is following Professor Galen's footsteps as an archeologist after he retired from Starfleet. The younger characters could be his apprentices. The others sound like the members of the ship hired by Picard to fulfill his "mission".
Everyone should be like those far-future people from South Park, where everyone has homogenised into one race of bald humans with darkish skin.
Er, I am speaking for myself. And we'll just have to wait and see if this is going to be the best Star Trek ever, or just a crap vanity project for Stewart.
