Spoilers Season 3 character announcement

Paint me delighted!

Pike was a good thing. Too much of a good thing is a bad thing. DSC is the ship with the revolving-door boss who isn't the lead. I just can't wait to find out who will be next!

Number One I seriously hope to see again more than once during what remains of S2...

If this multi-spinoff thing pans out, Mount and Romjin might be summoned a few years from now to do something enterprising. There's that built-for-eternity bridge set and all in any case, supposedly. But I won't feel betrayed or deprived at the current state of affairs. I just wonder about the role of Spock in S3.

I would say the actors leaving isn't the same as revealing the fates of the characters and thus isn't a spoiler, but each to their own. No spoils intended:shrug:

You know that the thread header is HUGE spoiler?

You know that?

Right?
It's not a major spoiler, it's minor at best and official announcements made by producers shouldn't be spoiler tagged anyway, it's news! We're all openly talking about the section 31 spin off which basically spoils that mirror Georgiou will survive and become an antihero, that's a bigger deal than two characters everyone already assumed would be in one season only since their casting was announced.

Plus it might not even be true, plans change and producers/writers are not bound by law to do what they said at one point in an interview. Maybe they will show up in an arc in season 3, who knows?

Pike and Georgiou, the two best characters, are leaving. Lorca needs to return because everyone else is boring.

Pike spin off please.

Those “news” are kind of weird. Romijn was barely in the season thus far. Who here thought she would stay on the show after season two?

Also, did we already know of the “on-set physical altercation” involving Mount? First time I heard of this. And why bring it up if it didn't amount to anything?

Why do they even call it that? It was Mount acting out a scene while discussing it with the director and while doing so touching him. That's not an "altercation" that's "moving while in the vicinity of another person".

Some things should be retconned away, Pike's beeping chair looks primitive by today's standards when some people can type and thus communicate via eye movements for example and in the 23rd century Pike is limited to "beep" and "beep beep"?

Captain Spock, later steps down and gives backstory to why he was so resistant to taking command in TOS.
