I think it was this thread that taught me his sleeves are melting in hell. Gruesome.

I thought that for a long time, too, but I think his hands and forearms were in a brimstone pit. So his sleeves were soaked in sulphuric acid.

You know what? That’s not any better. Never mind. I’m going to hide behind the sofa now.

We wouldn't know it, but in addition to burning pain, it smelled really bad, too. We tend to forget the sense of smell in the alien environments. I'm glad Kirk has a keen sense of smell in Obsession.

Even as a teenager I found Pike's look very uncomfortable I must say! Nowadays I'm fine with it and happy to own the episodes on DVD! I remember my Father asking me years ago if that was really Jeffrey Hunter under the make-up and me not being able to confirm or deny it!:lol:

Especially if you're on a J-class training and a baffle plate ruptures and you are rescuing a few trainees trapped on board! :techman:

Yah, I'm not a fan of the new paint scheme. Probably something to do with the cartoon process of using only a few standard colors and wanting to have high contrast.

Main engineering wasn't among the best of the TAS backgrounds. But I do like the new vertical tube in the foreground.

That's a pre-refit upgrade to the DTD. Either that or it's the TOS/TAS version of the water pipe that Scotty beamed into in the first JJ film.
