What really brought you here?

I honestly don’t remember why I originally came here. Of course it was because of Trek in some way, but it escapes me. I seem to remember lurking for a while before joining, then I was somewhat active for a couple years and now I tend to lurk once more.

20 years ago, I was posting on another Star Trek board, and someone talked about this board (which just opened up a few months earlier), so I registered. Then I made one post, and another, and another, and here I still am. Meanwhile that other Star Trek board and all the other ones I posted on at the time are defunct.

For me, I was posting in the Star Trek.com forms when Enterprise first was airing. I was getting sick and tired of the trolls there and someone who posted here, mentioned this form. Painted it as a decent place for discussion with moderated over site. I joined, lurked quite a bit and finally joined the fun. That was, what, 16 years ago now.... :wtf:

Q2

While this may read like one of the frivolous replies, I mean it in earnest when I say I arrived here hoping to find some interesting material about M'Ress. Possibly "behind the scenes" information about her creation, what, if any plans were in the works to include her or her species in any upcoming productions, possibly some cool fan art.

M'Ress is part of the New Frontier novels. I guess you've read them.

I was into Trek literature a bit heavy in 2008-09. Can't recall what specifically I was searching for, but the google search on something Treklit related brought me to the Treklit forum here. What surprised me was I could actually interact with bestselling authors directly! I hadn't had that kind of experience before, so that was something exciting for me. Used to hang around DS9 forums as I was watching that series, mostly lurking. Then I found TNZ... ;)

I'm just making a list.

But seriously, I migrated here eons ago from the old Psi Phi trek literature discussion board. Funny thing is I hardly visit the TrekLit forum here anymore.

I only got up to the one where the planet with the volcanic activity birthed a new Great bird of the Galaxy and got distracted by another series. May have to give them another look.

I don't quite remember, either. I just know I'd just left South Africa after a longer stay and was feeling a bit down because of that.

Love your avatar, btw. :adore:

I was on IMDB in a Star Trek Continues discussion back when the forums still worked and someone linked an entry from here. I followed that link.
