Which hero ship would you want to see in the Picard show?

Which ship should Picard command?

I don't believe we'll see the Titan (that ship's old news), but it's inevitable we're going to see an Enterprise. Whether it's the E, the F, or the G. I mean, c'mon, they're not going to bring Picard back after all this time and not show us the Enterprise.

And of course, the Titan was designed to fit with the Next Gen-era aesthetic, and whatever The Picard Show looks like, it won't be the TNG TV show or movies.

My biggest fear, of course, is that any ships we see in the Picard show will be designed by Eaves...so they'll look pretty much like the ships in DSC.

I find that very unlikely. Eaves' designs are very unique. His 22nd century ships look nothing like his 23rd (other than the Connie, but that was a deliberate call back), and his 22nd/23rd ships look nothing like his 24th.

I hope it doesn't look like the TNG movie Era, that's 20 years ago in-universe.

And I find Eaves's designs to be derivative and unoriginal, but we've had this conversion before and I don't particularly feel like having it again.

Fine, this is my last comment on the subject then, you really do need to sit down and compare all his designs, because each of his eras are pretty unique. You can easily tell which series each ship is from.

Believe me, I have done so. And I find his design aesthetic wanting.

Ugh, you're probably right.

There is a chance the E-E would still be around, but there's also the chance that Picard continues his streak of losing ships (RIP Stargazer, Enterprise-D).

Mods, please fix!

I have a feeling that Kelvin-verse Kirk (judging by the last ST movie) will either equal or exceed prime-verse Picard with the number of ships (in Kevlin's-Kirk's case Enterprises) lost or destroyed under his command. It can also be argued that Riker would have been subject to a Starfleet inquiry of the Enterprise-D being destroyed since he was the senior commanding officer on-board with Picard off ship trying to stop Soran.

I voted no ship. I have this idea in my mind that Picard is going to be well into his retirement as a Starfleet officer and that he'll be planet bound in a serialised diplomatic crisis story. That's just my idea mind.

No hero ship, but we will certainly see an Enterprise at some point.

I want to see Picard attend the christening of the Enterprise-F, ask for a tea and be told "ah, the food replicators... won't be installed until Tuesday."

I think we will see an Enterprise but Picard will not be in command.

Yep. And you know who will be? Riker, with Troi at his side, because there's no way there's going to be a show about Picard without Frakes and Sirtis trying to wriggle their way into it.

If Star Trek Fourteen had been made it possibly could have shown Kirk getting the Enterprise from Beyond destroyed, receiving a newly built Enterprise, and then by the end of the movie, have Kirk getting that one destroyed too.

Ahh, might have been.

I think this is why Frakes is looking so trim lately, he's got a uniform to fit into.

And on the subject of uniforms, I hope that the Starfleet getups of 2399 are not the same as those godawful AGT/The Visitor/Endgame uniforms. With their pants hiked up to their armpits, it looked like my grandpa designed them. I also hope they don't make those STO uniforms. Way too videogame-y for me.

I hate the future uniforms so much. Definitely the uniforms of the Starfleet retirement village on geriatricus IV

It's being made by the same people behind Discovery. There's no chance ANYTHING will look the way it used to.

Patrick Stewart is the very first thing from the classic Berman-era continuity that they've elected to keep.

Actually, no he isn’t. The Vulcan Landing craft from First Contact can be seen in the background of ‘Lethe’

They also kept the same Andorian emblem from ENT

A lot of the Klingon lore comes from the Berman era as well
