i don't think this is going to happen. they made ~2 million so far and continue to rake in about 3k a month. would you stop? free money! i bet you 69/420 quatloos that in 5 years time this will still go on. but i suppose they might downsize again. and probably again. i have a photo from the future as to what ares studios v 16.3 is going to look like in 2027. This time they thought about the electric grid (see bottom right)

That's...disturbing yet funny.

On YouTube, Fan Film Factor's Jonathan Lane (top) and producer Alec Peters take aim at Axanar critics, find gold at the end of that rainbow.
Well, bright side, we'd been wondering how Slow Lane was going to support his sensei. Now we know.

 I could take them years to raise $250,000 and make 2 15 minute short films? Really?
If he really put all of his effort into actually making the damn shorts, he could probably get them out in just a few months with the money he has now.

If he ever makes Axanar, he becomes a nobody again. He'll never get another project off the ground with the level of hype Axanar had when they raised over $1.4 million and had an endorsement from George Takei, and he'll never have the notoriety he got from the subsequent lawsuit. He's gonna drag this out and beat that Axa-hype horse's ashes into the ground until nobody cares.

Assuming Alec looses his current warehouse and can't find another, what would you like to see happen to the current bridge set? Perhaps Alec could gift it to Stage 9 Studios? If Ray Tesi was considering taking the bridge set for Starbase Studios, he may very well accept the Axanar bridge set.

I have a suggestion of where he could stick his sets, but I doubt it would be physically possible for him to shove them up there. ;)

One thing AP always follow through on is never giving anything away for free. The set will rot before he gives it to anyone, especially Stage 9. :techman:

And let's face it: It's a bridge made for one specific ship in one specific film that will never be made. Even if AP were feeling generous, no one else needs it.

Sold and maybe repay some of the money.

A hint: It involves gasoline, a match and popcorn
Considering that people's money went into making that set, that would be unfortunate. Their donations would literally be going up in smoke (as opposed to figuratively right now). If the set were to change hands, at least there'd be a chance of an Axanar-like fan film being made, even if Alec isn't involved.
Y’know, this statement now makes me wonder if he took out an insurance policy on the set and its equipment.
Don't be absurd! You can't use gasoline for that! You have to make it look like an electrical fire.

Not sure if Ray would pay money for it. It's probably in better shape than the Starbase Studios bridge set, though, so there's a chance. Depends on how much money AP would demand, and how desperate he is to offload it. He might agree to give it to Ray for a smaller amount or even for free if he can film on it for free.

Not everyone wants or needs to film on an exact replica of the Enterprise bridge. Some people would be fine with a non-canon, Federation-style bridge like the one for Axanar, especially if they're filming a fan film that has multiple ship classes. Plus you can redress the set to look like just about anything you want, like a freighter bridge or a reactor core.

Plus, if you already have his script and his bridge, you would go in one weekend and make an Axanar fan film and show him how easy it would have been for him to just make the darn thing.

The thing is we already know what would happen. The transporter room set was just outright junked when they left the original studio. If they move again I do wonder if the still-disassembled corridor and Captain’s quarters would survive this trip.

The bridge is in a better state of completion, but my guess is he’d try to sell it, and then it’d be turfed if no one was willing to cough up however much (no doubt overinflated) he asked for it.

Sell it to whom? Alec Peters has burned every possible bridge he can with the trek fanfilm community, and he keeps looking for new ones to set ablaze. The set is only useful for making some kind of trek film, and nobody who makes trek fanfilms is going to want Alec Peters' cast offs, especially if he has balls to try and sell them.
